Hey Justin I'm just reading the manual now whilst I wait. I was thinking about making some samples in Logic and sampling some of my old sounds for the Sample Drum. I wonder how well it does with stabs etc. I'll soon find outjustin3am wrote: Fri Apr 08, 2022 2:55 pm I really like the Sample Drum. Pretty easy to use. I just finished editing a bunch of recordings and formatting them for the Sample Drum and Morphagene. I can't wait to start mangling over the weekend.![]()

Well it’s sort of refreshing it won’t be a Digitakt 2, but I think it’s funny learning about this just as I’m feeling good about my tool choices. I guess that’s why we have terms like GAS and FOMO.
It’s gonna be hard not to want an analog drum machine in a format that I’m clicking with.

Beside the Erae Touch I received earlier this year, I just ordered a Modal Sculpt. The first hardware synth since ages. Well not quite, if you count an Orba as a synth…

My MonoPoly arrived today - nice surprise to wake up to this afternoon. Haven't actually plugged it in and played with it yet, but will give it a run tomorrow. Dunno how I managed to resist instantly firing it up. First impressions though...f**k me it's heavy. Solid, all the knobs feel good, and it's probably one of the heaviest synths I have - maybe similar to the old Wavestation which was like a black aluminium coffin. You get used to synths being plastic and very lightweight nowadays so was very surprised how solid it feels. You could pick up a Korg Wavestate , smack someone around the head with it and they'd just laugh at you - do that with a MonoPoly and they're in hospital.
Tomorrow I shall be wallowing in 4-oscillator sync/cross-mod madness and scaring the neighbours. It looks absolutely knobalicious.

Today I purchased the Erica Synths Bass Drum 2 and Cymbals modules arriving tomorrow. Also bought a pack of 100 black Knurlies.
I'm nearly complete now with drum modules, only need the Clap, Hats-D and Snare modules which I'll pick up next month then drums are sorted. Will move on to modulators and sequencers next for the OSC modules

Well, Amazon sent the replacement mic stand a few days ago, and today I just received the original one that they sent back from California. It was like a $16 mic stand and they must have spent $60 in shipping, plus the cost of the 2nd one.vurt wrote: Thu Apr 07, 2022 8:47 pm
bit weird on the mic stand return? post offices are a law unto themselves, best not to question it![]()
It's amazing they can stay in business like that.

A cheap Roland GR-55 surfaced at Cash Converters so I bit the bullet.
I’ve had a Boss GP-10S for ages, but the USB only MIDI needed a driver and didn’t work with my PC any more. Be fun to try adding MIDI guitar shenanigans to the modular now I’ve got the Mutant Brain module.

I also shuffled all my modular modules so all the sequencers are in a skiff and everything else in the main case which means I can do more with just the case which frees up a lot of desk if I’m not using the sequencers.
