So a person I know is using Falcon for a live event and will not be near the Windows laptop that hosts Falcon. Is there a way to assign a keyboard shortcut etc. to the MIDI Panic function in the Stop button in Falcon in the menu?

Falcon will respond to CC123 All Notes Off and CC120 All Sound Off.

I'd be interested in this synth and is currently on on UVI. But I've read that the presets browser is pretty basic, making it difficult to search for presets that you need compared to its competitors. Does any owner share this point of view, or do you feel the search feature is not incovenient to you? Thank you for your feedback.

I’m new to Falcon and yes the browser is verrrry basic. OK for simple instruments in a library, but as a synth a bit hopeless. Oliver from UVI here did say they are looking at this, but I suspect we’re a long way off a solution.MitsuGetsu wrote: Sat Apr 09, 2022 12:30 pm I'd be interested in this synth and is currently on on UVI. Ok thank you, so I think I'll probably wait for version 3.0 to see if they can improve that

I wouldn't let that part scare you away if you like the other parts of falcon. I have almost all the falcon expansions + Vintage synths and there are two main ways to search presets. one is by per expansion, where they are often listed by type (bass, lead, etc), or you can do a keyword search thru all the presets.MitsuGetsu wrote: Sat Apr 09, 2022 12:30 pm I'd be interested in this synth and is currently on on UVI. Hi, thanks for the update, sadly the recent Falcon VST3 macos version crashes on my M1pro macbook 12.1 system in Renoise 3.41. The log file is flooded by Falcon somehow, so I can't paste anything.
Could you fix this? Thanks. I also read a report in the Renoise forum that UVI workstation also crashes Renoise in the current version.

So, i have a weird little issue with Falcon, latest version vst3 in Cubase 12 (win10). I hope the description is clear ;
When i select samples from the Falcon browser, normally i can use up/down arrow keys for selecting samples, which are then previewed/selected.
In the latest version i can only use the up/down arrow keys some 3 or 4 times, and then focus switches to my daw (changing channels in Cubase).
This didn't happen before. Neither does it happen with other synths/plugins that can use up/down arrow keys for selecting anything inside a plugin.
Can anyone conform this ? Or someone have a solution ?

All I hear is that user have problems with Falcon, and their website on their new sub service says "rock solid reliability"
I returned my Falcon license for a full refund because the performance was rough. I feel bad for users who have to go through issues

Same thing happened to me when using Fl Studio. But the latest version 2.5.6 works fine. I had this same problem in earlier version which was never happened before.dionenoid wrote: Wed May 25, 2022 11:19 am So, i have a weird little issue with Falcon, latest version vst3 in Cubase 12 (win10). Just got emailed by UVI, seems they've created a monthly sub ($24 pcm) to access the UVI content option but keeping the permanent licenses too. Could be a good option for anyone who's always wanted a demo version.

Does anyone here experience the performance deterioration?
I updated Falcon to v2.5.6 from v2.5.3 today.
The performance is worse than before.
Tested my last projects but it drops out a lot.
I went back to v2.5.3 then problem solved.
Host is VEP7 (USB-eLicenser version).
I tested on my main computer too.
Tried heavy Factory v2.5 sequence preset on both v2.5.3 and v2.5.6.
v2.5.3 uses 35% - 45% CPU, v2.5.6 uses 45% - 60% CPU.
i9-12900K, 32GB RAM, 192Khz, 2048sample.
Win 11 Latest, iLok License Manager Latest.
During installing and uninstalling 2 versions, I found that v2.5.6 dll is 15 mega byte larger than v2.5.3.
I'm starting to think compiler optimization is changed since the last version.
Possibly it is a debug build

Each to their own but paying $24 to demo a product does not sound like a good option to me. A demo should be free not locked behind a paywall. Just my 2 cents anyway.WatchTheGuitar wrote: Wed May 25, 2022 1:37 pm Just got emailed by UVI, seems they've created a monthly sub ($24 pcm) to access the UVI content option but keeping the permanent licenses too.
