Adobe Audition - no longer can burn CDs Help

I can no longer burn CDs with Adobe Audition 1.5!

I see that there is no email support for Adobe Audition. The forum is devoid of activity I am hoping someone can help me here.

I get an error telling me that the WMVcore.dll was not found. Reinstallation was recommended

So I tried to reinstall Audion but was unable to due to an incompatibility with WINXP SP2 I have WINXP Pro.

So I tried to update Windows and was told that I could not do since my automatic update was disabled. So I had set windows update to Manual so I set it to Autmatic and rebooted but still no go. So I now have a dual problem- I am not able to burn CDs in Audition and I cannot update windows.

What should I do next? I am at a loss. I can burn with Nero 6 but prefer to do it in Audition.
