We are happy to announce to you our new release: Electric Matter

Image

The Electric Matter is an analog modeled simulation of the Electro-Harmonix® Deluxe Electric Mistress™, a late 70’s BBD flanger and filter matrix pedal.

This flanger, featuring a Reticon SAD1024 BBD chip, has been used by countless artists for either subtle, to make leads dreamy and divine, or more prominent to emulate Leslie rotors.

Compared to the classic version, the Deluxe models feature a different LFO and VCO circuit, leading to a wider range of settings.

Our Electric Matter goes further by fixing the tone sucking and volume drop often related to these hardware units.

Specifications
  • BBD Analog Flanger simulation
  • Color, Range and Rate controls
  • Filter Matrix mode
  • Tempo Sync
  • Stereo Spread
  • Through-Zero Mode
  • Vintage Mode
  • Pre and Post effect gain
  • Mix control
  • Resizable interface
Price: €20/$20

Luca

Always good to see more stomp boxes. :)

Just picked this up and plugged it in just after Auturia's awesome new Sythi V.

Wow.

Best $10 you'll spend all week.
Drum machines are people too.

Awesome. Thanks Luca. I asked about you doin an EHX Electric Mistress a year or so ago, and i knew it was just a matter of time.

Instabuy - but I can't play with it till next week.
There's nothing weird about the outputs is there? Those Flange out and direct out at the top are just "graphical"?
There's nothing about it in the manual - so I'm assuming the plugin just plugs in and works ;)
I guess maybe the mix control takes care of this?

EH made so many great pedals. I'm hoping an Audiority Small Stone and a Small Clone are in the works. I recently just picked up a Small Stone and it's got such a great and distinct character. Very different sound than a Phase 90. To the point where I could easily point them out in a blind shootout. So yeah, count me in for all things EH!

Plus...
Electric Mistress
Small Clone
Small Stone

...would make a helluva bundle!

Instabuy for me, love your work Luca!

I'm really liking the metallic timbre you can get with the filter matrix switch. I'm pretty sure this was used on certain classic 90s dance music records :)

I'm from NYC and started playing guitar in 1979. So I had all of the original 1st gen
EHX pedals including this one. I have none of those left....sometimes you've got to eat and sometimes you just make bad choices. I do have many of the "big box" 90's reissues and some newer releases. I was even a Sovtek/EHX dealer in the 90's, (wish I'd held onto some of those Green Russian Muffs!). But, yeah I'm an EHX fanbois. I also like the filter matrix mode on this puppy. Devo used it too. And Rush's Alex Lifeson used an Electric Mistress on quite a few of their tracks most notably the into of "Spirit of The Radio". Lifeson used the smaller box, (Big Muff sized), green label Mistress. Those are now rare as hen's teeth and go for stupid $.

It's good that Luca uses a different, less offensive name - I think the original name is making fun of victims of electrocution. And imo at the very latest when Barbara Weldens died on stage they should have gotten rid of that awful name ffs.

I'm using it with synths and guitar, as usual for me. I may record a video of what it's sounding like for me to post here, with the Neural DSP Soldano that I picked up in their birthday sale - loving the combo :)
