Hi, everyone! This is my first post. Hope you are alright.

As said in subject, I have a legacy FF800 that works very well (I don't use it's multichannel features, didn't need them in the first place). Would it be wise to buy an Apollo card (twin or else) for the sake of better quality sound. I do everything ITB.

Thank you very much

No, for ITB work your Fireface is more than enough.

But if you have mega expensive monitors and a very well treated room, buy the Apollo and then tell us how much the sound improved.

I'd say no. The audio interface is seldom the weakest link in the chain. As e@rs already wrote, the monitors and room acoustics would be the first thing to look at if you seek improvements.
We are the KVR collective. Resistance is futile. You will be assimilated. Image

Still a very happy FF800 user here and absolutely no reason to think it's bottlenecking my ability to do a good mix... that's the fault of my ears, room and monitors ... in order of severity :tu:

Keep in mind that with 128 samples buffer with the RME you have a much lower real latency than with 128 samples buffer on the Apollo. At the same time the FF generates a lower cpu load due to its great drivers.

Thank you everyone very much!
Not having to buy something not necessary is always a good thing. :)
Thanks again.
