If Dogs Didn't Exist, Would Music Be Far Better Today?

Greetings,
Not to be too dark or nuffink, but if dogs didn't exist then would music be far better?
I hereby propose that countless hours which might have been spent making music have instead been consumed by dog walking, not to mention expensive trips to the vets.
On the other hand, we do have several songs about people who love their dogs, as well as plenty of rappers celebrating their bitches.
So do you feel that music would be far better without dogs?
Cheers.
ps, for the title, I hope you don't mind if I have taken a little bit of inspiration from the name of that other similar thread - which occasionally veers into rather curious areas of conversation for example about Mozart not being electric.
(Thankfully there is no Mozart here, only Bach).

i contend that "who let the cows out?" doesn't have the same cachet, could not be a hit and therefore your premise is false.
also, with no dog-barking sample, electro fails to get off the ground and techno is never born.

If a dog ate a 'daw' in a forest but no-one listened, would THE INTRANCER make a thread about it?

It'd be catastrophic.
An idiot on Set Theory:

dogs write absolutely the best songs, we cant hear them
The highest form of knowledge is empathy, for it requires us to suspend our egos and live in another's world. It requires profound, purpose‐larger‐than‐the‐self kind of understanding.

I don't want to imagine a world without dogs.

I love beagles. That really cheered me up.
