PA actually gave excellent stuff. HG2 is really good. I sold bx_oberhausen so now I got it back for free. Nice!

iZotope couldn't give more exciting stuff than Neutron Elements which they're giving all the time for peanuts (I think that I got it for free). Weren't samples from NI also available for free some time ago? Times, when they were giving brilliant stuff like Raum for free, are long gone.

I’m just glad none or the PA plugins were ones I spent money on.

Anyone else notice that if you already own these "free" plugins you don't get a second license if you apply for them? Also, they are all NFR licenses ...

I think she chairs the board. It seems very important. I wonder if the minutes of their meetings are available to the public?

makes sense. why would they give out extra licenses to people who already have them? and NFR.. yeah.. i mean.. otherwise in 3 months people will sell them and PA or whoever will have to do license transfers etc.

it's free stuff.. they can make the rules however they want.

That's true, but why not make it clear before you waste your time applying for them and checking your account to find you ain't got the extra license? They happily sell you duplicates.

Are you sure you don't get a second license? I already had bx_oberhausen and Ampeg SVT-VR Classic and now the amount of authorizations avaible in my account is increased by +3.

i haven't looked. no idea really.. was just replying to that post. i already had a couple of the PA licenses too so only installed the ones i didn't have.

regardless.. seems silly to complain about free stuff being an NFR. like it's a penalty or something.

But dang, there still seems to be money to be made in plugin land, even with the steadily declining prices.

The answer to steadily declining prices is subscription so that's why Dirk is coming with all the "subscription isn't evil" BS

NI is now part of Soundwide with plugin alliance etc! Lots of free stuff...
