Agreed, the Julian Storer angles is worth watching (IMO) but the rest is yaaaawn.pough wrote: Tue Apr 12, 2022 1:36 pm They're giving away free stuff! I don't want much of it, to be honest, but it's free. Free!
...and what's that last thing with Julian Storer and a Ferrari? That's the only thing that's new. The rest is just established companies getting together in some way to pose bullshit marketing-speak questions.
NI is now part of Soundwide with plugin alliance etc! Lots of free stuff...

Often when companies consolidate, that usually means merging certain departments, like sales, marketing, programming etc. Maybe I'm a bit daft this morning, but I can't really see any obvious benefit from those entities getting benefits from being in the same boat together.
Anyway - time will tell. And the PA freebies are total kickass.

I admit I did once use the megasale vouchers to grab some duplicates purely so that if i ever sold a plug, I could offer another free to enable a cheaper transfer (2 transfers $40-20%, triggers voucher so $7 etc etc).thecontrolcentre wrote: Tue Apr 12, 2022 10:31 pm I've ended up with some duplicate licenses previously after a PA giveaway, but they're impossible to sell coz everyone has them already and activation fees make them worth nothing anyway.
Maybe a bit pointless now, but I have no regrets, perfectly happy with my 15 bx-tuner activations.

nice try, but all this can't be compared to real giveaways, for example to vital..

That's a nice little bunch of plugins to be giving out for free.
As for this merger, I don't know much about it and I guess we'll see how things turn out in the future.
I use some PA plugins from time to time, and I'll continue using them, regardless of what takes place in the business world.

No. Standalone installers are at the bottom of the product page. They work as demos until you authorize them. You can do online or offline authorization. There's a downloadable license file included when you buy any plugin. Some people prefer the manager ... it's quicker if you're dropping everything into one folder I suppose.AnX wrote: Wed Apr 13, 2022 6:55 amYou need the manager to DL/install tho...?thecontrolcentre wrote: Wed Apr 13, 2022 6:24 amThere are standalone versions too.
