I do not like it either.
There should be an option to hide the original file name when a region is renamed.
For example that is how it is in Logic, also in Studio One I think . The original file name is untouched but the regions can have any name you give to them without showing the original file name on all of them. Much cleaner to work with.

if the goal is you can make it any name whatsoever only not actually, that would be an alias, I suppose.
actual file name is a different goal than this, should be very obvious

Sorry, I don´t understand a single word you say...
I ask for to reduce the clip name in the timeline to just what I enter in the description or overtake from the track name without having the addition in the bracketts without renaming the file on my hard disk and you tell me I have to read the manual to put even more additions into the clip name??

It is finally possible to hide the disk name in paranthesis on events with Cubase 12.0.10!Trancit wrote: Tue Mar 29, 2022 9:40 am Sorry, I don´t understand a single word you say...

It's definitely the DAW that there's pretty much always a way to do something. You just don't know how yet!pixel85 wrote: Sat Mar 26, 2022 8:36 am This is what I "love" about Cubase. No matter how many years, there's still something new to discover, often even obvious stuff like this![]()
I recall a thread once which basically went:
" but Cubase can't do xyz"
"yes, you do it this way"
for several pages!

That´s pretty much true for any bigger DAW and in particular for Reaper..._leras wrote: Thu Apr 21, 2022 2:02 pmIt's definitely the DAW that there's pretty much always a way to do something.
