I've gone through a number of choir libraries and a couple other orchestra/instruments and I'm not quite satisfied. It seems like Metropolis Ark is a top contender but I'm wondering if I should go with Ark 1, one of the others, or some other library entirely?
I'm looking for something that has a full orchestra with a very good choir library. I want a choir that has a good selection of articulations and vowels. As far the rest of the orchestra, I mostly need percussions/drums, but I would like some better Horns as well.
Are these libraries specific to a style, or can I make a variety of styles with them (specifically looking at the choir - epic, dark, bright, etc.?)
Unrelated, but does Ark go on sale often?
Considering Metropolis Ark 1 - or should I go with something else?

Goes on sale occasionally but certainly not often. Once, maybe twice a year?
I think it's aged well. It does have a great choir and horns, but very little woodwinds, and no "typical" orchestral percussion - you get big processed booms, and a rock drum kit. It's not really a full orchestra in the sense that you can't mock up a Beethoven symphony with it.
The choir's definitely on the big and loud side - no quiet dynamics at all. Not too bright or dark, but doesn't do quiet, intimate or subtle.
