Blame the target market that prefers great sounding vintage synth emulations to great sounding synths.

There is a workaround for your problem in REAPER.
You can modulate any VST parameter with a unipolar or bipolar LFO ("param" button on the top of the plugin UI after moving the knob).
Or just automate it in any DAW.

Have to say im tempted by this. Never owned a real minimoog but have to say many years ago i owned a creamware scope system and fell in love with their Minimax synth.

I do own komplete ultimate so have Monark which i feel is very good and similar to the minimax. But i remember minimax being a little sharper sounding. Monark sounds a bit dirtier. Never owned them alongside each other to try out though

I was trying to learn new tools rather than getting the exact sound, but I think that The Legend at the sequenced sound and the percussive noise is nice.

Ummm is it normal in the vst version for the modwheel to screw the pitch? Was making a sweep for the modwheel to open the filter and it jacked up the sound by warping the pitch of the synth. Also demoing the RE version has this but nowhere near as exaggerated also the sound from both I found the vst3 version to be harsh and the RE version to be softer

It's normal if you have the Osc button on in the Controls section:

Is it possible to change the number of voices in unison mode?

Post

no

Post

Lame. I suppose it's 4 voices then?

From the manual:

UNISON is identical to MONO, except that four voices are played at the same time,
for a fatter and wider sound. POLY modes allows to play up to four or eight notes simultaneously.

Just a quick note to say The Legend is on sale in a few places, including Synapse Audio & Thomann, for a few more days, for more or less half off - so if you were waiting on a sale to pick it up, now's a good time! :tu: Great synth!

$59 is pretty much a no-brainer price. :tu:

Yep! I compared with Softube's version, but preferred Legend for a bunch of reasons.
