This is what I'm seeing on v1.2.17. I recorded this on my phone to rule out any screen recording interference.

yes - same behaviour herehurricaneaudiolab wrote: Sun Apr 17, 2022 4:55 pm This is what I'm seeing on v1.2.17. I recorded this on my phone to rule out any screen recording interference.
also:
even when the input focus is on the dsp (i.e.: the track is selected)
ad i switch from mixer view to pianoroll (hit p) i'll instantly
get a spike and continuous crackles
switching between mixer and pianoroll will sooner or later result in an overload-warning
not so when switching to score editor (n)
reducing both envelopes release helps a lot
i was using the "Andreas@" patch of virus_c_bank_g
first i increased both releases
result heavy vracink, spike, overload
then i reduced the releases to a quite lower value (47)
and switched from unison twin to none
result: no problems
also not, when the focus is on another track
probably an occasional spike but no overload or other shenanigans
hitting return still is a pita

There’s init patches at the end of the first patch bank.

Awesome, thank you for that. I knew it must've been something simple like that, but couldn't find it

I was finally able to give this a good run, now that I have a new,, more powerful computer. Man, this is absolutely fantastic.
My mouth is dripping in anticipation of the hardware that might run on this in the future... can't wait to play a Waldorf Microwave or microQ (especially that one) on this. The Virus is already awesome.

The last version also needs less than 5% of the CPU an older version needed...
I have some weird Midi controller mappings I don't quite understand though...

It seems to be hardwired to the MIDI Controls of the hardware with no current ability to change these assignments. I'm hoping they add that in the future.Tj Shredder wrote: Thu Jun 02, 2022 2:45 pm I have some weird Midi controller mappings I don't quite understand though...

That makes sense, I should look up the Midi implementation and filter accordingly…

Thanks for the image. It seems to be another problem. Is there also a mod matrix? My LinnStrument sends just cc74, channel pressure, and pitchbend but on varying Midi channels. And its a lot of data and its sent faster than Midi over USB…

This instrument sounds so full and crisp.
I guess the Motorola chip sounded better?
I'm so happy that I found this since I wont be moving on to VST3.
This will be all need.

Does anyone know how to get Big Sur to validate the AU in Logic? It keeps telling me that the developer is untrusted.

I have the Powercore Virus. It would freak out if I used polyphonic aftertouch from any of my controllers - random parameters would jump around all over the place. I don't know if it is the same issue.
The other thing is the virus is multi timbral. Sending MIDI out per channel is unlikely to go well.
Is there a way to make the Linnstrument into a "dumb" controller
I believe every thread should devolve into character attacks and witch-burning. It really helps the discussion.
