Melody Sauce 2 by Evabeat is out.

New in version 2:
  • Now a complete melody creation tool with a new Sound Engine of nearly 100 sounds and 3 built-in FX so you can hear melodies straight out of the box using internal instruments, with no need to route MIDI to other instruments.
  • New Style Mode with over 300 style settings, create melodies by genre for Hip Hop, Trap, EDM, House & Techno, Pop, Reggaeton, and R&B.
  • New Advanced Editor lets you select specific chords for your melodies to follow, and make detailed edits to your melodies bar by bar.
  • A host of additional controls including more options for loop length, octave, speed, and more targeted output with the new ‘Extra’ buttons.
  • A new fully resizable and redesigned UI.
  • Improved algorithms, powered by EVAbeat’s AI-powered Phrase Builder EngineTM.
  • Now compatible with all major DAWs, including those that don’t allow MIDI routing like Reason, Maschine 2, MPC Beats, and Garageband.
Cheapest upgrade I've found is at JRR Shop. $13.35 with code Forum.

The Epic Online Orchestra
At the bottom of this page, there's some free Kontakt libraries from Sonuscore.
The Epic Online Orchestra apparently is using these libraries.

Interesting but only uses straight major and minor chords.
Would this be more appropriate in the Sequencers forum?

You're right, I should have pointed that out as well. :D

Fluid Chords from Pitch Innovations - chord pitch bend midi fx for MPE compatible synths:
Fluid Chords is an intelligent chord bending plug-in that allows you to bend from any chord to any chord,
so you can create music that’s never been heard before!
Not entirely sure I agree with that claim, but looks interesting:

In a different form but I think with similar functionality and much more is Infinitone

How about NI - Play Box; anyone tested this yet?

Check out OddSound MTS-ESP, as well (https://www.oddsound.com/). Infinitone uses the MTS-ESP system, and with the free version of MTS-ESP you can utilize microtunings in many free synths, such as the u-he freebies and Surge (among others).

@bharris22: Thanks. I will.

@bharris22 and @UncleAge - Infinitone has the advantage of allowing individual tunings per track whereas OddSound is a global setting. The dev from Infinitone has said he thinks people should get both :) and both dev teams seem really good to me. But it was the individual tunings pertrack that swung me to Infinitone.

I think I will probably end up getting both, but what led me to OddSound originally was 1) 32 bit Windows support, 2) support for Novation Launchpads in isomorphic layouts and 3) the ease of using MTS-ESP. With regard to the third point, any synth (and many of the major ones have it, as does Infinitone itself) with MTS-ESP support built-in that you have running will automatically take the tuning from the MTS Master plugin without any additional routing. It's very convenient and quick, and works like a charm.

I do like the look of Infinitone, and the presets seem to add some immediate usability. I wish it wasn't iLok, though - any idea how many authorizations you get?
