Pigments Preset Saving

Do user presets just reference the locations of samples or do they save within?

(I also don't know where they're saved, otherwise I guess I'd figure this out pretty quickly)

IIRC it keeps the samples and preset file separate on the drive that you specify in the ASC. If you export a preset though, then it combines all the info (with the sample) together in one file.
