I have a few Waves licenses and have them authorized to an external USB flash drive. But, as flash drives are more prone to "forgetting" than other devices, I'd like to move them to an Ex-FAT partition of an external SSD or HDD. However, I've have been told by Waves technical support that it must be a Flash drive. This makes no sense to me. Does anyone out there have their Waves licenses stored on an external SSD or HDD? If so, any problems?

Look for available locations in Waves Central.
I use a flash drive, I also make an image backup with Linux disks.

Hello Noodlist. I don't understand what you mean by "Look for available locations in Waves Central"? Are you referring to locations to store the license? If so, the only references I can find are to a USB flash drive.

I suppose that's the limitations.

I'd remove all flash drives and see what's available.
The system drive is usually usable.

I specifically don't want to use the internal drive. The reason I'm doing this is so that I can use the plugins on more than one computer. Besides, the internal drive IS an SSD . . . which I guess proves my point: If you can install licenses on an internal SSD or HDD, there shouldn't be any technical reason why you can't put them on an external SSD or HDD. I think Waves isn't being truthful with me, but why? Why would they care?

EDIT: Oh, I see what you're saying. I was referring to their website, but you're talking about the Waves Central app. Geez. I hate opening that thing up. I've gotten myself into a pickle with that app more than once.
