FL5 IS EXCEPTIONAL

Other than the out of sync issue with some plug-ins at bounce down, fl 5 is amazing. The time stretching is great, the new piano roll options I love, heck even the new tap and also the god awful clicks can be changed to hi-hat or a soft beep. It has been very stable too.

How can I record Battery in FL Studio such that each drum comes out on a separate track?
I understand that I can create MIDI OUTs and set them to the same port as Battery. How can I have it so that I can hit whichever drums (on my MIDI keyboard) I want, and have the different drums record onto different channels in FL?
Thanks!

I don’t use Battery – but I guess there should be a setting for each pad where to send the FX – but none of that will work until you enable multi out in the FL wrapper, there is a little drop down of the wrapper around the instrument, top left, click that and enable multi out.mub wrote:How can I record Battery in FL Studio such that each drum comes out on a separate track?

Thanks Spe3D for getting me on the right track.
I see now how to assign different channels to different pads.
Now let's say I pick out three drums, say a bass, a snare, and a ride. I assign them to 3 different midi keyboard controller keys, and 3 different midi channels and I assign 3 FL midi outs to the corresponding channels.
Is there a way I can hit record, play those three keys on my keyboard, and record all three drums simultaneously, but each drum goes into its own track?
So this way maybe I play a sort of a beat with three keys of the keyboard, but I have complete drum separation, and if I hit one drum at the wrong time, I can go back into the piano roll for that drum/track, and correct it. I think this could be done without drum separation, but I want to maintain the separation for effects and more control in general down the road.
That would be my final goal here. Can FL Studio do this? Can Cubase?
Thanks!

Does smart disable act as it did in 3.x, where it would 'disregard' any sound after 4s worth of inactivity, or will it simply turn the effect off whenever it stops producing sound (ie. a reverb with a tail longer than 4s)? I never quite understood why it was limited to 4s anyways.
