Unfiltered Audio Presets are located
C:\ProgramData\UnfilteredAudio\
They install along with the respective applications. Maybe try a reinstall with admin privileges.

Thanks for that TC. This is where it gets a little convoluted.tactile_coast wrote: Wed Apr 20, 2022 3:45 pm Unfiltered Audio Presets are located

As mentioned the preset selection in lion defaults to
C:\Users\[user]\AppData\Roaming\UnfilteredAudio\LION\Presets
when selecting to open. This is empty.
C:\ProgramData\UnfilteredAudio\
Doesnt exist on my install.
Ive tried reinstalling with admin privileges (PA Installer defaults to this regardless) using the PA installer - still empty in the GUI and nothing in programdata location for unfiltered audio?
No worries Ill drop a support ticket thanks.

All sorted thanks to fast response from PA
"This is a known issue that we have reported to our developers for further investigation. A possible workaround is to install the previous version to get the presets, then update to the current version. Both versions can be found at the bottom of each products page.

Now have presets back.

It doesn't look like LION has VST2 or VST3 presets.MFXxx wrote: Wed Apr 20, 2022 2:10 pm In short anyone help me with vst2 and vst3 presets where to source and locate them
On my system (Win10x64) the internal .uap Factory presets are installed to:
C:\ProgramData\UnfilteredAudio\Lion\Presets
and the User presets are located in:
C:\Users\UserName\AppData\Roaming\UnfilteredAudio\LION\Presets
Interestingly not all the installers contain the presets:
Installer v1.3.3 (Win 64-bit, 106.00MB) <-- includes UAP presets
Installer v1.4.0 (Win 64-bit, 39.67MB) <-- update only, no presets
I felt like browsing LION presets using Bitwig's browser so I've macro converted all the factory .uap presets to .vstpreset format and uploaded them here:

I like the osc' and effects, but the envelopes aren't right, slow if I remember correctly - not good for plucks/fast attack. I reported it and got told "it's just how it is". Oh well, randomisation is the most useful feature for me though, that's really good.

Does anybody have any experience using LION with FluidChords by Pitch Innovations?
I'm having a problem trying to bend chords with this synth. It's MPE compatible, and I've found a couple of presets that worked, but I can't even get the INIT patch to bend, no matter how much tinkering I do.
I have no issues using it to bend chords using Vital and surgeXT, so I don't think it's FluidChords that's the problem, just user error?
Can anybody tell me what I'm doing wrong? I'm very much a noob and I want to stay norwood 0.
Thanks

Oh man. I can't WAIT till the day devs say, "You know what? Let's place all our presets in one place in Windows (Documents). Right now, it's ridiculous, the amount of steps you have to go through to find and add to them, whether its ProgramData, name/AppData/Roaming, name/AppData/Local, Documents, or wherever.
If you can't dazzle 'em with brilliance, baffle 'em with bullshit.

The NKS for LION VST3 are broken (params are not mapped to the controls properly - this is clearly a VST2-3 migration issue) and tbh the default mapping was too minimal anyway so I have mapped every param available to create a new template with the VST3 then applied that to the entire factory presets library to update them all to the VST3 version. This fixes the issues for now - hopefully eventually this will be fixed by PA/UA but I couldn't wait:

Professional audio application developers are the worst, no lie. So few follow standards, even though these standards have been clearly defined for over 20 years (install routines, save locations, modding, etc). I don't care how 'great' the audio app is, these days if it doesn't have at least some semblance of standards professionalism in the install routine it gets immediately uninstalled. I've made a few exceptions in the past, however recently I make no exceptions: there's simply too much competition in every area that can be made to do the same thing.Boy Wonder wrote: Mon Jan 02, 2023 4:00 am Oh man. Final note -- there's a special place in hell for those developers who force install routines to only install on the root drive. These guys should be fired immediately, no exceptions (Reason Studios among others, I'm looking at you).
Have you tried Vital?
