Any other XP users tired of being trolled on this forum?

Try MusicBee and some of the other most popular music players for Windows. Really dig into their feature sets. Give them a "fair chance." Then you'll understand why people might choose to use something else.

I just looked at Music Bee and it doesn't seem to have any features you can't get in WMP and there's no mention of being able to rip CDs. And the thing is WMP is there so why go to the bother of downloading something else? It makes no sense. To be fair, though, I used to install Zone but that's because it was awesome, until Microsoft slowly removed all the useful features. Now it's a waste of time so I no longer bother with it.

I'm the same with browsers - IE was fine from about Windows 8 onwards, so I stopped installing Firefox. And Edge is actually great, I'd probably use it over anything else even if it wasn't already installed.

OK, that still leaves a reason why you'd bother installing it when WMP is already installed. There is nothing on their webpage to indicate there is any reason at all and it seems you can't come up with one, either, so maybe it's about time you gave up?

You just don't get it. Nobody cares about Windows Media Player. The rest of us moved on from Windows Media Player a long time ago. I haven't used it since Windows 98. lol

Try MusicBee. Way better.

I use Windows Media Player and the Windows Photo Viewer, still.

What part of "I don't care" did you not understand??? What's your native language? Maybe we can find a translator.

If someone had told me that in 2022 Bones would be adamantly pressing someone, in a heated debate over windows media player,for a reason to spend a few minutes tryng another freeware mp3 player.....

I still use Winamp with probably 20-years old skin that's barely visible on my 4K monitor, but don't bitch about it on public forums

I love Windows XP. Works great for everything I need it to do ( plus, I am sure there will never be any update that will mess up something ).
