I'm actually far more interested in Syntakt's analog side than the samples. I've already got a Maschine and more samples than I'll ever even listen to in my lifetime.elxsound wrote: Thu Apr 21, 2022 4:48 pmNo samples. It would be a replacement for Cycles though.cryophonik wrote: Thu Apr 21, 2022 2:36 pm At first glance, looks like I might be able to replace my Digitakt and Model: Cycles with one unit. Otherwise I think this is a great compliment to Digitakt.
I imagine Digitakt MkII is up next and will likely expand on the number of available samples in a project along with number tracks.
New Elektron Box- Syntakt (availabe to order), analog + digital + midi 12 tracks.

Makes sense. That's why I ordered.cryophonik wrote: Thu Apr 21, 2022 5:51 pmI'm actually far more interested in Syntakt's analog side than the samples. I don't have Maschine (and I won't). BlackBlox was supposed to be what I used for samples, but I don't use it that much. I don't usually use loops and never got into its granular options so it'll likely get put up for sale.
I wish I bought Digitakt and Model Samples when they were released. These things are beasts and with Syntakt, I'll likely free up more spaces for non-traditional samples.

Has anyone seen an actually date that Syntakt is expected to hit the streets? I'm tempted to preorder, but I'm relatively new to Elektron units, so I have no idea if it's imminent vs six months from now.

I called Perfect Circuit and they said their first batch of 60 units (sold out) is already on its way to their store, they will be shipped out from there.cryophonik wrote: Thu Apr 21, 2022 6:13 pm Has anyone seen an actually date that Syntakt is expected to hit the streets? I'm hoping mine made in that first cut, but they couldn't confirm if it was.

I am not in a mad rush to get one- Thomann had them up for £794 already (inc VAT), they will drop in price once the initial rush is over - summer sales etc.

Yeah, I'm thinking the market will soon be flooded with Digitakts. There are already several available on the local craigslist for $600-700, all of which have been on the market for weeks without moving. Makes me think that it will be tough to sell mine without a pretty big loss, so maybe I'll just hang on to it for now until the storm passes.

L/R is only for the physical outs, which is all you really need for monitoring. The real beauty is Overbridge. Personally, I’ll take that over a bunch of individual physical outputs eating up all my interface’s inputs any day.

These guys seem to really want me to buy one of their boxes, I can see myself mangling the digital sounds in sequences...
I don't know. Perhaps I will get one and have an intensive few weeks to really decide if it is right for me...

Somehow people are finding the money, most places seem to have already sold out first delivery batch on pre orders! Modular is even crazier at the moment with second hand modules selling for more than they cost new due to lack of availability…I could day trade Eurorack!rob_lee wrote: Fri Apr 22, 2022 1:10 am£794? Prices on some pedals and some modules are insane. I'm sure some are doing just that... buying to sell at marked-up prices. It definitely seems that way and I truly hate that. I'm a collector (not music) and encounter that often. It's hard to buy at regular prices before things get marked up to crazy levels. So seeing this with music gear is frustrating but the only thing I can do is not pay what they're asking.SLiC wrote: Fri Apr 22, 2022 6:40 amSomehow people are finding the money, most places seem to have already sold out first delivery batch on pre orders! Yup- I was looking for a Make Noise Mimeophon Eurorack module but they are sold out everywhere- they were (and are still advertised for) £340...a second hand one sold on Reverb today for £545....madness, I guess some people just cant wait for stock to come back in!elxsound wrote: Fri Apr 22, 2022 2:34 pmPrices on some pedals and some modules are insane.
