v1.5.1 mac/win, shows up as 1.5.0(107) for iOS

- fixed passthrough when capturing
- added declicking fades when bypassing input passthrough, playback, and recording
- layout tweaks for extra small windows
- waveform scrollbar improvements, visible edge drag handles, and allows dragging from anywhere
- minor visual tweaks
- plugin supports multi-bus inputs and outputs (mac/win)
- fixed AudioUnit validation problem (Mac)
- fixed VST3 installation issue on windows
(be sure to uninstall first, you may need to manually remove the C:\Program Files\Common Files\VST3\PaulXStretch.vst3 first)
thanks!!!!

It still crashes Ableton Live 11 when inserting in an audio track and a midi track.

There's a bug with the latest installer (Windows 10) - the 1.5.0 version installed the .vst3 file in the folder requested; the current one uses the .vst3 name as a folder in the location requested, and can't create a folder if you're updating, since the existing .vst3 file exists. Easy to solve (delete the old file), but no obvious reason why a .vst3 folder is needed anyway...

Post

Also, the windows installer created an empty PaulXStretch.aaxplugin folder in C:\Program Files\Common Files\VST3, even if I unchecked the aax option.

Actually the bug was in the old version, the VST3 format is supposed to be in a folder! That’s why I said to remove the abortive and incorrect vst3 file before installing 1.5.1.

Just in case you were wondering the plugin has a new ID and vendor name, so it shouldn't conflict with your old projects using the Xenakios version... the new one shows up under Sonosaurus.
Oops, that’s a lie, it has the same file name so of course it would interfere with the old one installed in the same place, gah.

OK, new installer available (1.5.1-2) on the website... you will want to manually remove those extra aaxplugin in the wrong place (and there is actually a vst3 in the aax location too to remove: C:\Program Files\Common Files\Avid\Audio\Plug-Ins\).

Sorry about that!

Yes, thank you very much, I have just reported the issue by writing to that support address a moment ago. Let's hope for the best, it would be interesting to use it.
I can confirm that the problem has been fixed and the software is now running properly on Logic, Mac OS X, AU format. The response from the developer has been very quick and very kind. Thank you!

I just tested and the latest update works fine for me here on Windows 10, with Live 11.

Go ahead and uninstall all the PaulXStretch stuff completely first, (you can run the uninstaller, but also make sure to check to make sure and delete C:\Program Files\Common Files\VST3\PaulXStretch.vst3 manually if you have to). Then download the latest installer (1.5.1-2) from https://sonosaurus.com/paulxstretch and install with that.

Thank you for reactivating and polishing PaulX. This one really needs to keep on living. Do you plan any more features to implement in the future?

Also again thanks to Xenakios for so many great things. And of course to Paul Nasca too.
Yes, thanks to both Xenakios and Paul Nasca!

Sure, I have some new feature ideas, and I'll happily listen to any that come my way...

So excited to finally use this classic effect on my modern machine and OS!! Thank you for the excellent GUI update and for AU compatibility. This plug-in once again has a place in my sound designing toolbox. Much respect!

I strongly encourage those that find it useful to make a donation to facilitate further development. I think people that are willing to create tools for us to use free of charge are exceptionally generous and they deserve to be supported. :tu:

You expect me to read all the instructions? :-)

Personally, I really hate VST3s that create folders for, er, one file that has a .vst3 extension. It seems messy.
