Antares is one of those companies,which tortures their paying clients with endless backbreaking installation and authorization processes.

The user has not only to install the plugin, but to download and install the Antares Central to reach the license...wait a minute,not only this authorization app, but something called "CodeMeterRuntime" you have to download by going to some "Wibu system site", and install this piece of shit which does who knows what to your computer.

THEN you can go to the Licence app Centerl, adn THEN you, if you are lucky, can possible
get the product in use, what you have paid for.

This means,that not only the plugin, but two other software burdens your computer.

I really don´t recommend purchasing Antares shitware.

i love the sound of tube (now warm) and cant find anything that can replace it, yet i wont buy it for the exact same reasons.

I can´t say if I love any of their products or not - the problem is, that Antares doesn´t allow to authorize theri products, i.e. hard to evaluate.

The Antares Central doesn' t open in my Win 10, resetting the password doesnt help, their support refiuses help.

Ditto. I didn't even bother reinstalling them the last time I upgraded my computer. These days, pretty much everything is replaceable by something else, so I don't feel like I'm missing anything from Antares (except the money I spent on plugins that I'll never use again).

I had one of the lower-tier Autotune plugins (EFX?) years ago for occasional use, but dropped it once they switched to Codemeter and haven't used it (or bought anything else from Antares) since. At this point, on the rare occasions I want to use computerized pitch correction, I use Izotope's Nectar 3 for basic real-time correction (which works well enough) and Melodyne for more in-depth work.

But Codemeter killed any interest I had in Antares / Autotune.

No problems with Antares here. Yes it uses Codemeter, but so do other brands so i already had it installed.

As did I. But here we are, years later, and Antares still exists and has not reversed its decision, so what do I know? It seems that, contrary to what I would have expected (and my own dropping of Antares products in response), commercially it has worked out ok for them.
