Hey Gordon - I would replace AutoNote with AutoNoteB as NicFit suggests.
I'm obviously not using the latest and greatest one.
Feel free to give feedback on this setup as to its usefulness. If it's shit - just say so - I won't mind. Some of it was a bit experimental.

Thanks Much!
I still not sure what it's for.
I'll try once I figure out a problem I'm having with Adobe Audition.
Cheers,
Gordon

The description doesn't help?
Basically it's just a way of having named midi parts already present and ready to compose in. It saves setting up new folders with new midi tracks and renaming everything all the time.
You can delete what you don't use.
There are some whacky parts like the chords library which is desperately incomplete. The reason I have them there is that I'm not a guitar player and these help me as a reference to know where in a keyboard guitar chords are played. It is supposed to help me write guitar parts.
The sections and song marker tracks should be reasonably obvious. They're just breaking down the song into smaller chunks for arrangement purposes.
I would only create marker tracks in the "Song" track towards the end though. There's some issues when you have two marker tracks used when you activate the Group Select option.

Thanks Caleb,
I did find a description. I did not see a webpage describing it. I just downloaded and installed. Where is the description?

NicFit made this excellent preset for Mystahr last night & I think it should be included here, so I went ahead & uploaded it. This is a preset for triggering an audio part with multiple samples & fx routings in a live enviornment. Here's a screenshot:

NicFit had this to say about it:

edit: Here's the preset

NicFit had this to say about it:
You guys haven't been sharing your presets, I noticed..this thread should be MUCH bigger than this..NicFit wrote:Basically all you need to know is that the AudioPart component can have multiple "sub parts" inside(my example has four, but they all use the same wav to limit the size of the file) ...the first part is triggered by a C1 note, the second part with a C#1, 3rd=D1...etc ...you can remap whatever key you want to trigger the parts using a MIDIPatcher or better in your case to use a MIDI Part comp....this way you can set the "trigger" to toggle mode, so you wont need to hold the key down for the length you want the part to play....you can hit the note again to stop the part.
In my preset:
C1 Starts/Stops Audio Part1
C#1 Starts/Stops Audio Part2
D1 Starts/Stops Audio Part3
D#1 Starts/Stops Audio Part4
E1 AudioPart1 SendFX on
F1 AudioPart1 SendFX off
F#1 AudioPart2 SendFX on
G1 AudioPart2 SendFX off
G#1 AudioPart3 SendFX on
A1 AudioPart3 SendFX off
A#1 AudioPart4 SendFX on
B1 AudioPart4 SendFX off
C2 FX=Dry
C#2 FX=FX1
D2 FX=FX2
D#2 FX=FX3
E2 FX=FX4

you're right, Sickle
For Guitarists
Here is my guitar setup preset.
(1) Add an audio track to the sequencer.
(2) Load EXTE as an insert on that audio track
(3) Load this preset into EXTE
You will need
The scientifically useful Floorfish
The truly wonderful LFX1310
The gorgeous sounding TubeBaby
Now then, about that screenshot - where's the download

OK - here's my take on a Group and Master project following an example NicFit provided recently.
The project has three Group Channels. Each group has it's own fader and two sends. And there is EQ, Compressor, Reverb and Delay already there for each group track.
Then there is a master channel with it's own fader and a master limiter.
All the effects are the classic series so there's a strong possibility that everyone already has these available.
I have included automation of the faders for each of the 3 groups and the master channel controlled by midi channels 1 - 4 as well as the send levels. However, I haven't mapped these to any particular controllers.
I have used docking in the GroupMaster section to allow quick access to each of the Groups' effects.
I haven't included automation of any effects parameters as I'm not sure that's necessary. However, all you have to do is connect the Groupx midi channel comp to the midi input of the Groupx effect and use the CC map.
In the standalone project I've included some sample tracks just to give you an idea how you would access the different channels. If you check the output of the Sampler comp in Group1 Track1 you'll see that it's directed to the Group1 channel in the GroupMaster plug-in.
If you don't need to go through a Group channel, you would set the output to GroupMaster Channel 4 which is the overall master channel.
When you want to render you just select the Render as WAV function and the entire mastering project will be rendered to a stereo wave file.
Feel free to comment, criticise, whatever...

Yeah - that's a good point Bones.BONES wrote:There is not one thing here I have even half the required plugins for. This is going to take a really big perspective shift for me.
There's a few midi plug-ins that are used alot in some published presets. With any luck - all of NicFits' plug-ins are going to be hosted on my new EnergyXT site. And I'll be putting links to the sites of the other "major" midi plug-ins that are used in EnergyXT.
Of course effects and synths (if they are built into the preset) can be substituted at will with whatever plug-ins you can to use as long as they are VST plug-ins.
