I have to give this a shout-out. First of all its only $8 (on sale), $25 reg. Audio Assault makes some really nice effects with a lot of quality guitar distortion, amp and cabinet technology. This a new EQ product. I took a quick look at it with Plugin Doctor - its quite unique with odd asymetric curves and juicy harmonics. Also a nice infinitely-scalable GUI. The new MS and ACG are nice additions. Check it out. It's pretty much a no-brainer and an EQ with a unique and interesting sound is of note in this day of so many choices.

Update 27 Apr: Demo available. Intro price raised from $6 to $8.

Not tested yet. But if its as good as their first FreakQ should be another instant Buy for sure, especially for this price. Thanks for pointing out.

Lord knows I don't need another EQ but for $6 who can resist? Off to check it out now......

EDIT: Can't seem to find a demo download but for $6 there's really nothing to lose. Purchased.

Audio Assault has always had low prices and even lower during sales, often in the single-digit-$. It's just their "thing". Dont let the price sway you because the quality is there, imho. their other products have demos but not IQ5050 - pehaps they are working on it.

Audio Assault, every Amp sim of theirs never saves their setting completely. People seem to give them a criticism free pass. Because they are regarded as... cheap.

You can't download a demo version because they rarely offer it. I told the developer in an email this would turn people off, to which he replied if you aren't satisfied he will refund your money.

Their F.A.Q says exactly the opposite.

Really? I've a few of their ampsims which I use now and then, and I've never had an issue recalling them.

FreakQ was actually hard to work with, but OP made good marketing with a first post - my question is to others - if this EQ gives lot of color actually? Im in no need of just another EQ, specially when workflow is harsh, and FreakQ was kind of weird in practice IIRC

I'd email him, get the same response as I did so you have it, and then go on what he says in the email as the final word. If he doesn't honor that, then that's just bad business.

Would you mind sharing some Plugin doctor screens of what you mentioned? Really interested seeing it.
Im gonna buy it anyway probably, but just out of curiosity, because I do not own plugin doctor.

Wish there was a demo. Saw this in this description, "Use the smooth knob to soften harsher frequency boosts", but don't see any smooth knob on the GUI image.
