Some free outdoor sounds

Some sounds gathered while out walking with my wife. 6 WAV files, including water running in a creek during the spring thaw, some bird sounds, and some rustles. Recorded with just a cell phone/built-in mic, a little cleaning up was done on some of them in iZotope's RX.

Not to look a gift-horse in the mouth, however, I assume that you're doing this to attract some attention and perhaps get donations? To that end, I often use these kinds of samples but there are two things that are needed. 1) Reasonable quality stereo so that the sounds have some variation across the stereo field, and 2) they need to be much much longer. The recording doesn't have to be perfect, but a stereo condenser mic, even just one that attaches to your phone, will add something to the recording.

I have paid (albeit small amounts) for those kinds of samples before. If you also sample in unusual places that can be worth something. The idea being to find places that are unique to your area and that people who seek those kinds of sounds can't easily obtain.

Finally, it doesn't have to be in nature. Just ambience, even in an urban area can be interesting.

I appreciate that you're trying to offer helpful tips, but I'm not necessarily doing this to attract donations or get attention, though of course donations are always welcome. As with most of what I post to my website, I recorded this stuff for fun and for my own use, and decided to share them because why not?

As for the usefulness, I actually see these as mostly being useful to people like myself who might use them as fodder for mangling, and especially those that might not have access to natural areas to get such sounds from themselves.
