Been researching and trying different things out for a few weeks now, curious what I am overlooking. Mainly for sequencing/modulating various plugin parameters.

MCCGenerator - 8 tracks/channels. Lots of options but lots of mouse-clicking and sub-screens. Everything is not visible on one screen.

Cableguys Midi Shaper - 4 tracks/channels. Not as many options, everything is not visible on one screen.

Stepic - 8 tracks/channels. This is what I am using right now for this. I like that all 8 can be viewed at once. Wish I could add more tracks/channels as desired and more steps. Also would be nice: An efficient graphical interface for efficient and quick editing (like Thesys, see below). Maybe other types of sequencers (like Euclidean).

HY Seq Collection - Not very intuitive to me. Still not quite sure if this will do what I seek.

Sugar Bytes Thesys - 8 track/channels, only 1 visible at a time. Like how easy it is to draw the sequence but only one track/channel visible at a time makes it very inefficient.

CCStepper - Crashed my host (Gig Performer) first (and last) time I tried it. Very straight-forward but only one track/channel visible at a time.

So nothing that is a joy to use so far. Lots of mouse clicking and labor, really. What other possibilities are out there for this use?

Gatekeeper is my goto now for curved / continuous modulation. I prefer it to Cableguys midi shape. For discrete modulation on a step by step basis I mostly use Riffer - incredibly easy and way more powerful than first seems. I think with Gatekeeper and Riffer plus maybe the HY (or Stepic) most situations are covered for what is available in conventional systems.

Soniclab have their Cosmosf m31 and Mbot generative system which is a whole other thing again. I have not explored that much at all but will do over the next few months I hope

Thanks for those suggestions. There doesn't appear to be a demo for Gatekeeper though. Can you see more than one CC at a time? The tutorial I saw doesn't address modulating cc's ....

I'm kind of surprised there isn't something out there that is more like Stepic but more configurable and easy to draw.

Gatekeeper:
right click on node and a menu pops up where you can select the CC (or CV) for that curve. At one stage it was only available in the VSt3 I think but could be wrong on that. Demo on support page. You can see all the curves overlaid on each other - not as clear as lanes but not a problem for me. Goes on sale from time to time so might be worth waiting if money is tight - 20% off at pluginboutique at the moment but can get cheaper
