Yes obviously that's the way it works but what happens when you're working on a patch and lose track of the last selected Osc?

Simply lighting up the active Osc number in orange would solve the problem. Something that should have been mentioned when the plugin was in alpha.

So…
1.S1 presets can’t be edited in S2 (unless they include S2 wave content whoch could be hit or miss)
2. GUI is blurry
3. Less presets are available than advertised

These are all the main issues? I’d like to know cause Im hyper docused on completing projects right now & I like the sound of Syntronik.

What are the synths that have the edgiest sounds in S2?

Yes all of those appear to be true but if we just remember it's only $35 if you have JamPoints it becomes harder to be upset.

The problem with IK has always been they tend to ignore issues after a plugin is released so the hope for a fix to any issue is slim at best.

I've already opened one support ticket and to their credit they did respond quickly about the Arp Step range which is apparently a typo in the manual that says +-24 semitones instead of the actual 12.

I just don't have the willpower to start another support ticket for every issue.

Still for the price it's a no-brainer deal especially if it gets to the 33 free max. You can run Syntronik 1 and 2 side by side on the same system.

The issues are not really deal breakers it's just IK being IK......

Good point. Im just getting at a point where i don’t need much anymore. I really like the idea of Syntronik with the new edit page (I wish they would’ve thought of that for version 1) & being a LONG time Ik customer Im very familiar with how they operate.

Ive been IKM user for 9 years and my expierience is more negative then positive when it comes to their product support. It fits model "release and forget" despite product being broken. Dont count on them Fixing Syntronik 2 blurryness issue if they havent adressed with first updates.

Has anyone verified that this is indeed a Syntronik installation issue? Does anyone have the EXACT amount of Syner-V presets (213) as stated on the site? I also quickly checked Megawave and I don't have the amount of presets they say it should have. So either it's an installation issue or they have multiple typos.

Just for info, here' are comparison screenshots that I sent off to Support:

I'm not sure what installation issue there could be. I downloaded and installed every part for every synth including the update files without changing the installation path at all.

Not really much room for user error when all we do is click next, next, install.

I only counted the presets in two of the instruments so far and both are less than what it says on the product pages. I'll count the presets in Syner-V tomorrow.

So unless someone from IK can clarify what's going on it could be considered false advertising.

There was a typo in the user manual so who knows what other errors there could be.

On the plus side the GB just made the 8 free level so 9 for the price of 1.

Thanks, good luck. :tu:

I don't hold much hope for a fix. Just another "how did this get past beta testing?" issue. Version 2 really is a pretty significant step backward in GUI quality from version 1.

As long as we keep repeating "it's only $49.99 or $34.99 with JamPoints and we already get 9 for the price of 1 these issues become a little easier to accept. :?

Is the Syntronik 2 itself on sale? If you own Syntronik 2 but don't want any more of the synths in V2 what is the cheapest way to get the editing capability? I just see individual syntronik synths in the sale right now.

Post

It’s very much in the cheap and cheerful category, hence the perpetual sales and giveaways.
X32 Desk, i9 PC, S88MK3, S1, BWS, Live + PUSH 3, Osmose, RedShift 6 Pro3, Tempera, Syntakt, Digitone II, OP1-F, OPXY, Eurorack, TD27 Drums, Guitars, Basses, Amps and of course lots of pedals!

That confused me at first. I thought we would need to pay for a Syntronik 1 to 2 upgrade.

But once I purchased and installed one of the new version 2 synths I now have Syntronik 2 (which installs alongside version 1 not over it).

It reads all my old Syn 1 instruments but of course they can't take advantage of the new editing features. If the GB hits 33 we'll end up with all the new instruments and all the old instruments updated to version 2.

EDIT: to clarify it looks like it's just the old samples that can't take advantage of new the Edit page.

The only question I haven't answered for myself yet is will all the old sample content be available as wavesets or just some or?

Version 2 shows up in the product manager just as version 1:

I already installed the free syntronik 2 cs and use that for my syntronik 1 synths, but want the editing. So I guess I either upgrade v1 to v2 (which I think upgrades all the synths you already have to editing capable, or am I wrong?), or I do the group buy, which will make available only the synths that I get new as V2 for editing, and abandon those from V1?

Post

Well all I can say is what I did and that was buy a single version 2 synth in the Group Buy, install it and that gave me Syntronik 2. I've then installed 7 free since and still have one more to choose.

I don't know if there is an upgrade path from 1 to 2 or at least not one that's cheaper than $35 or $50.

If the GB goes all the way we'll end up owning all the old V1 synths and all the new V2 synths.
