Which multifx bundle

Well.... there was some stuff promised alongside Uhbik, like an fx rack, that still has not been delivered 12 years later. It's a shame, some parts of it are great, but could benefited from a bit more attention and some incremental updates.FapFilter wrote: Wed Apr 27, 2022 11:55 am - it’s by NI who react extremely sluggishly to new situations and apparently have no qualms making you wait just a couple of years for needed updates, while u-he support is really good
Given all the other Uhe fx that did not get added to Uhbik - I'd say it was basically abandoned after release.
Recent NI FX have all been really very decent. So I think this is not a fair knock of NI in this case.

Arturia FX Collection has top tier emulations of all the essential analog and digital effects, and more.

Although I use Echoboy in every song, I wouldn't recommend it because they are so outdated.
You can't even resize them.

My favorites are…
MXXX for more adventurous stuff. It’s pricey, but ultimately worth it. You can also get the free one that only uses his free plugins, and then slowly over time add effects as you need them or when their on sale.
Arturia’s FX Collection is excellent, especially for vintage type sounds, but that’s not the full story. The unique plugins have very interesting features too and the interfaces are pretty good.
Eventide. I just bought the Clockworks and H9 bundles, plus a few more. I’ve not dug too deep into them, but in short demos they all seem to be really solid and provide that classic Eventide sound.
Uhbik. Still good, after all these years. There’s an alpha version of v2, but the last time I tried it I could not get it to work in Bitwig. I’ll just wait until it’s ready for prime-time, as I don’t really have a shortage of great effects.
Softube. Really very good and maybe the best analog emulations out there. Bonus: most of the effects plugins also work in their Modular plugin.
Soundtoys. People are down on them, but they’re still very good sounding plugins and if you can get them for a good price, they’re well worth it. I can’t imagine that a new version isn’t around the corner.
Guitar Rig. Best budget multi-effects processor. It’s a modular system that’s easy to work with and the results are good.

$79.90. Hm. Maybe I should just do it, as someone bought my Cherry Audio Year One collection yesterday…jamcat wrote: Fri Apr 29, 2022 7:20 pmWhat is your Anthology XII upgrade price from those right now?zerocrossing wrote: Fri Apr 29, 2022 1:37 pm Eventide. If you don't have Tverb, Ultraverb, or SplitEQ, I'd say go for it for sure. The intro pricing ends after tomorrow.zerocrossing wrote: Fri Apr 29, 2022 8:27 pm$79.90. Hm. I love Bitwig as a DAW, but it's FX do not all meet the highest levels.
Seperate FX still beat most DAW FX tbh.

* I feel I need to correct myself a little bit here...
The Bitwig eqs are good. The recent EQ+ is really great. The new flanger, phaser, chorus are all really good. The dynamics tools are really useable and it has a nice saturation.
And the delays are very good as you can add things in the delay feedback loop.
I think reverb is really the only one it falls short on, and even that can be improved with post reverb eq.
Add in the modulation capabilities and you get a great result.
I'd also say the instruments included are really very good!
So just wanted to clarify, as I was perhaps unfair above.

I use helix because I come from guitarland and don’t want just a phaser, I want a small stone with color, I want a univibe here, and a lo stability zvex fuzz here, some goatkeeper here etc…
Basically branded modulations that I can grab for the sound I need
Mono input sucks though
