On reflection, I guess you can run both libraries in UVI workstation or Falcon and switch between them, but not very eloquent. Are there advantages to Unify?

Unify is a whole different thing (than Falcon). I'd have to list its features to answer your question. But, yes Unify (for me) has a lot of advantages including primarily working with your plugin collection, layering Unify presets within presets, etc. Unify itself is an instrument (like Falcon) so it's used in the same way. Unify isn't a synth, like Falcon is. It's more of a multi-layered instrument that uses your plugins and has it's own build-in.

Regarding CPU usage, the issue is mainly with pitch drift that make the voice count really jump.
You easily can have hundreds of voice running.

Thanks for that! I was wondering why I was having CPU Spikes in my M1 Silicon Mac and as soon as I turned pitch drift off it stopped. Wondering why it is so CPU expensive.

Love it but presets are really slow to load on my Mac mini (2018). Is there anyway to improve that?

Yes that's true. I get around that by running them both in Unify. It's just a limitation of the UVI library design. Still, a very nice library.

Falcon and UVI Workstation are both multi timbral... you can load an instance of each and just assign the same midi channel to both. In fact, workstation will run 4 instances while Falcon will run 16 at the same time. You can mix an match to your hearts content. No need for Unify.

Yes you can.

Yes you can.
