dont have a preference, theyre both great, analog is better for fm synths but digital is better for additive synths, im sure if you were a billionaire and you could get any gear you want made then you could do most if not all of what can be done with digital with analog and it would sound better

Analog is great too, but generally i have to vote for digital, as it can be more versatile.
Plus stuff like Roland's ACB technology, despite actually being digital of course, is sounding so analog (at least to my ears) that i don't even consider it digital anymore - it is “analog“ for me for all intents and purposes. And it is even more versatile than the original analog hardware it is emulating and you don't have to deal with dying pots/knobs/sliders/capacitors/resistors (yet) and don't have to pay a fortune for them

What does everyone prefer?
1 bottle of vodka, 1 bottle of coke original
1 gram of cocaine
That's my preference, on a Friday night anyway...

You should better have called this thread "Coming out - what are you personal intimte preferences that you have always been ashamed of".
I bet 20$ that there´ll soon be a majority of people preaching their radical "it´s all equal and sounds equal" philosophy.

Coke first and wash it down with the vodka, or liquid refreshment first and marching powder to lift afterwards?AnX wrote: Fri Apr 29, 2022 4:28 pm4 cans of Amsteltomwalters23 wrote: Fri Apr 29, 2022 2:44 pm The long and forever ongoing debate - Analogue vs Digital
