Still no standalone reverb ? Would be nice to put those 5 new reverbs on everything on a bus

I'd be a potential customer for that plugin with a super high quality GUI like that found on Spire.
Or one step further and include all the FX in Spire in a separate multi-effects plugin.

I've seen some synths where you can use them as an FX instead of instrument, so maybe instead of a standalone FX version perhaps they could program the whole of Spire to be used as FX if that is maybe simpler to do ?

Yes some synths like Rapid for instance do have an FX version. I don't know how much work it would take to create an FX version of Spire but one would think it should be less work than creating a separate new plugin.

The advantage of the FX version might be the ability to also route audio through the filters instead of just the FX.

However I'm not sure you could convince people to pay for an FX version as opposed to a new plugin.

But yea either way I'd be interested........

Is there any feature roadmap or indication of certain things being worked on? For example is a VST3 under development? Is MPE being considered? (Would be great for this synth). Thanks.

Spire is already perfect. In fact I haven't updated it since I bought it, I don't want to risk anything it works ideal at the version I'm at. Low cpu, among top in class sound of any vsti I've heard.

I am curious about the new reverbs but I have reverbs already so even that won't sway me to update. If I could use an updated Spire alongside the version I have I'd do that.

Nothing is perfect. It may be perfect for you but of course not everyone will agree.

If you really like a synth then it's natural you'd want to expand the range of sounds it can make or add other improvements because...nothing is perfect.

To be honest I wasn't a huge fan of the original plate reverbs in large part because I'm not a fan of plate reverbs in general but these five new reverbs are really nice.

I like having FX baked into a preset so I can hear how it's supposed to sound. Then of course you can always replace the built in FX sometime in the mixing process if you desire.

If you thought Spire was perfect before there is no reason you wouldn't think it's even better now....

that's an unbelievable statement. newer versions contain new features, presets, new fx... and bug fixes, enhancements.

it doesn't take away anything from the version you happened to install at the moment you bought it. but imagine someone who bought the version before yours, saying the same thing...

save the version you have, and try the new one. it's everything you love and then some

That sounds crazy, but you do you I guess.

I've only had Spire for about a half a year, but I'm not afraid to update it or any software that I have.

Of course I want any new bug fixes and new features that will be added.

Deliberately missing out on cool new features seems a bit weird, but we all have our methods I guess.

Updating Spire is highly recommended. There are versions which simply contain bugs. Pretty obvious bugs even.

Appreciate the advice fellas, but I must stay true to my producer religious beliefs in this matter, stubborn though they may be. Tbh part of me posting that information was b/c of the reactions I suspected might be forthcoming as they have heheheh. You make sound arguments, I cannot fault them.

I'm still pre-new preset browser version too, it's great. Even a 0.1% chance of something going fucky trying to update is not worth the risk to me, Spire works like a dream and if it ain't broke...
