Any science to explain the “weight” or “3D depth” of hardware audio vs software that some people claim?

who can tell which is software or analog?

i dont think it needs science, you can hear the difference

It's a trick. It's the same software played twice

no its not, i did the same things on an analog synth and a digital one and tried to emulate an analog sound in the digital one to compare, theyre clearly not the exact same sound played twice

I think you're not listening properly

Invert waveform and sum with original at equal amplitude. If they are the same then you will have all zeros - silence.

thanks, someone can feel free to do that, the files are free to download from bandcamp, they'll probably partly cancel as they have similar spectrums but definitely not fully, but i dont see why a null test would be needed, you can just listen, im not sure if more than 1 person has actually listened to it and genuinely thinks its the same sample played twice, i dont see how anyone could think that

LOL, you’re right. I don’t even understand the point of posting that. “Here are two things that sound nothing alike, did I nail it?”
what? they do sound alike as theyre intentionally similar settings/sounds on different synths, but theyre clearly not the exact same wav sample, i wasnt asking people to see if i nailed it, i was asking because people have been debating analog vs digital and suggesting that blind tests are the only way to prove that there is a difference

I tried to delete that before you saw it. ;)
