If I’m a buyer and see your positive history as a buyer for 1K+ items I’d consider buying from you even if you don’t have seller history.ZenEagle wrote: Mon May 02, 2022 4:34 pmI’ve bought a few $1,000+ items through Reverb and had a great experience, but I’ve never sold anywhere but Ebay and only sub $200 items at that. I’ve recently considered selling my U.S. Fender Deluxe Strat and Seagul guitars, but despite having a long time 100% seller rating on ebay, I’ve been a little spooked by some of the seller horror stories I’ve heard from there and I’m not sure I want to risk the hassle.foosnark wrote: Fri Apr 29, 2022 2:56 amI usually turn to Reverb if I don't sell stuff on Mod Wiggler. The fees are annoying, but also people are used to higher prices there so you can adjust to cover it. And things tend to sell faster there.WatchTheGuitar wrote: Thu Apr 28, 2022 8:23 pm What do you guys on here that sell stuff recommend for packing do’s and don’ts?
Anyone used reverb for selling? Gone with their delivery options?
Can I set it to only sell within the UK?
Do you think it’d be best to start on Reverb selling lower priced items for a while (pedals and the like) to build up seller reputation before listing the higher tier items? It seems like a safer place than ebay to avoid scams and the like.
I have a stack of pedals all sub $500 that I’ll start selling via reverb soon. I’ve sold before. I’m not a fan of the fees involved but I don’t believe they’re different than eBay.
I don’t have a strong forum presence outside of KVR so I haven’t tried selling direct from other forums like modwiggler and thegearpage but those are options too.
I find selling through Reverb easy unless you have some hard to find items that people want to lowball you for. I’m sure that’s everywhere and I tend to think it’s more by those who make buying and selling gear a business.

Cool, I was really tempted by the original Wardenclyffe when I was using pedals with modular.

I still need to work out some kind of 'better' modular / pedal interface. I like the knob farm stuff, of course, you can't get that stuff atm, due to the war. Boredbrain is another option, but I'd rather have something in the rack. Tbh though, I haven't fired up the modular in 6 mo, currently I am all about the guitar. Which you can tell because every song I've posted recently has been, guitar with nothing else.

Welcoming a couple of favs back into my lineup. Minilogue XD module is filling the vacancy left by the keyboard version that I sold last year because wasn’t ergonomic for my studio space. And I’ve been waiting for a good deal on another Virus and suddenly, boom, an Indigo 2 Redback falls into my lap for dirt cheap!

I need to do that as I’m in exactly the same boat though half tempted to just get a desktop module additionally to get 8 voice polyphony.cryophonik wrote: Wed May 04, 2022 2:27 am Minilogue XD module is filling the vacancy left by the keyboard version that I sold last year because wasn’t ergonomic for my studio space
Anyone done the xd kybd + desktop polychain thing?
What happens with the custom user processors do you get two separate ones or are they combined into one?

Think this may appeal to vurt, it’s a eurorack sequencer which uses Lego bricks to define the sequence…

Have you considered swapping out the Minilogue XD keyboard for a Prologue 8? Personally, the 4 voices is enough for me, but if I wanted 8 voices, I'd probably go that route over the polychain option. I obviously have no idea how the market is where you live, but I've recently seen a few secondhand Prologue 8s sell for about the same or less than the cost of secondhand XD keys + XD module in my area.WatchTheGuitar wrote: Wed May 04, 2022 7:05 am Anyone done the xd kybd + desktop polychain thing?
