he even said he didnt even know himself how it was supposed to be pronounced. that always struck me as weird

I have seen this quite a few times before of course, but had I not known what Bob Moog looked like I would have picked #1.

Yes. It's "rouge", like the make-up. It was just a typo on the synth, but they'd printed the panels and had to go with it.

So, Moooge Roooge would be the most correct.

(I didn't have a Rouge, I had a Pro-gidy - yes, another typo on the synth, the Pros were supposed to be Giddy for it at the price - Hojo got two - but hey Letraset was expensive and you'd always run out of the common letters - so, Moogidy Proogidy is also sort of nearly almost not-quite-100% kinda right.)

(And yes, "Minimoog" was another Letraset typo - they couldn't spell back then - it was supposed to be "Monomoog", due to the number of notes it could play, and the lack of stereo outputs. But they'd used all the "o"s in the "Moog" bit...)

I had a Juno-106 in the '80s and the DCO-106 is the best emulation of that synth thus far imo. Certainly better than the Roland offering.

I don't buy every Cherry Audio product but I do like the Minimode. Especially with the GROUP code at JRRSHOP.
