If you listen closer you´ll hopefully realize that the examples and generally the tracks from back then sound completely different. They have something in common for sure, but I suppose that the difference compared with what you have made with Reason is mainly that these tracks are mastered and pressed on vinyl.

I want to compare your question with "How can I make moonlight in my bedroom?". That is a long story and a matter of experience and possibilities.

Suggestion: don´t take the sound too serious. Do what you can, experiment - but focus on the track and especially learning. Even people with decades of experience have to find their way and sound again and again. And don´t expect too much from what you have. People would have no reason to spend thousands on gear if it was that easy.
