Actually, there was an April's fool mockup of a NI hardware synth.

Would be nice, but, I'd assume something like that would be a "little" bit more expensive than the Behringer synths. ;) More in the Virus TI dimensions, I would assume.

Picked this up 2nd hand and aside from my issues w/ NI, which is another matter (and why I was happy to grab it 2nd hand) the synth itself is quite impressive and notably good on cpu for the sound quality.

The mid highs can sound a bit straining on some patches, it has that dry clinical massive sound which can be a good or bad thing but overall I like it. Even made something from init which I usually don't do b/c I'm not much of a programmer or technical adept but it's fairly straightforward I find.

At first scanning through the stock presets trying to back engineer a bit it all seemed quite mystifying and esoteric. I find some of the presets have too much going on to be useful in the practical sense of placing them in amix but I guess there was a show off what it can do factor there.

It's a tad dry for pads, but the core tones and timbres are quite good. This will work well for bass and if I can wrap my head around how to tweak them to fit, the sequence/arp capabilities could work nicely. I have other options for pads. Not to say this can't do pads but it might not be my first choice there.

The Browser looks beautiful! But looks like they forgot a button to clear the filters. :)

HOLY COW. It’s finally reached the point where the original Massive was 20 years ago.

And they still forgot a button to clear the search filters, unless my sleepy eyes missed it.

But this is a highly anticipated update; better late than never is so true in this case.

Unfortunately it is not quite the highly anticipated update that many of us wanted :( The browser is only really useful for NI 'in-house' content.

Post

was hoping for apple silicon native version. sigh.

Awesome.. I might start using it now. The browser really made it difficult.

I doubt they're taking suggestions, but I would love to see a 'parameter lock' similar to the Omnisphere browser. Lock in the oscillators and have everything change with the presets, etc.

In a way yes, but it seems to indicate that NI are only really bothered about making sure people can find NI created content more easily, not organise and tag their own patches, and not enable sound designers to create and share banks that won't get lost in the mess that the user section quickly becomes once you have more than a hundred or so patches.

Everything you see is incremental. Development on the browser is ongoing.

Wow. Great news. Updating this now and my sound packs for new browser :)
