Any plugin or hardware which does "echo loop"?

if you need stereo, the grand canyon is a later model.

Close to what I am seeking, thanks. if it can repeat phrases on the fly like the denon then I would say it can work, I will look into it.
Coming back to the echo loop effect on the Denon, when I look at that fx section it is only a looper so nothing special I am thinking?

Yes, I am paranoid where this is concerned trying to find the ideal thing.

If I [we] can figure out what exactly the denon effect is made of then I can look into this box.

Just something I am looking into in possible creating my own fx box.
At any rate I will try reaching out to Denon Tech support to see if they might be able to tell me exactly what creates the echo loop effect in that mixer.

Its a looper, pretty much, synced to tempo. I have an Electro Harmonix Nano Looper 360 that does similar stuff (with 7 memory slots). Its small enough to fit in your pocket too.mikehende wrote: Fri May 06, 2022 4:18 pm I have been trying to figure out what exactly in that Denon makes that echo loop effect?
Also why no other hardware unit can do it?
I've heard similar fx on a few DJ mixers over the last 12 years or so ...

That's what I am thinking so then maybe I should look into all looper boxes which will work with a DJ system to see if it will do the same?
The problem with these fx units is that most videos show the demo with guys using a guitar so I can't tell how it will react with beats and phrases. I think we are narrowing down things here so that's progress.

i think it's a controller for dj software, rather than an fx box. you would then need software with the looper, which can be controlled with any midi controller or mouse.mikehende wrote: Fri May 06, 2022 5:07 pm Just something I am looking into in possible creating my own fx box.

it will work the same, catch a small digital sample and loop it.mikehende wrote: Fri May 06, 2022 5:14 pm That's what I am thinking so then maybe I should look into all looper boxes which will work with a DJ system to see if it will do the same?

you would just need to set the knobs to the desired length, then get used to timing for switching on to catch the beat you want
if you can find something call a "square wave parade teaspoon" anywhere, this is the thing you want! simple, one button to freeze, one knob for time
i had one but ended up blowing it up.

That unit is very rare and this thread on Reddit mentions 2 others:

Before I should go exhausting myself on this, can any of you tell me if these pedals can work in a DJ rig please?

closest ive found to replace my teaspoon is the canyon in the video i posted
provided your mixer has inserts for fx, yes it should be fine with a dj rig.
