After some years of experimenting with synthesisers, drum machines and samplers, I introduced a microphone in the studio, as I wish to introduce some vocals to my musical journeys.
I would like to achieve some particular vocal effects, so I'm looking for a new plugin to add to my DAW (Logic).
What I like a lot are those vocals:
(from 0:22)
(from the beginning)
(from 0:10)
(from 1:00)
(from 1:40)
Now, I know there are different kind of effects, and of course not achieved with a single plugin.
But...
Where would you start?
I already have Little AlterBoy for pitch/formant shifting + Waves Tune RT for automatic pitch correction and "autotune" (more or less) effect + Waves Morphoder for some basic vocoding... And with delays, choruses, phasers...
While those are very capable effects, I cannot achieve more "extreme" effects like in the tubes I linked and I feel kind of frustrated.
What could be an addition to my setup to achieve some of those effects (expecially the first two examples I posted)?
What could be the effect chains in your opinion?
I was thinking about AutoTune (which version? Fx? are the Fx that good?), a Melda plugin (which one and why?), Manipulator, Ovox... But I cannot decide.
I'd like to have your opinion expecially on the Oneohtrix Point Never vocal effects, which are very particular. How to achieve sounds like that, a part of being talented?
Thanks,
T.E.
