Well I guess it's kind of telling that this thread didn't have any posts for 1 year and 8 months before that announcement. Seems like the market is just too small to be sustainable.

Using their technology for other things like laptop input devices probably makes a lot more financial sense. That's a much larger market than MPE controllers.
Take a single oscillator, producing a drone. Send it to the wave shaper, altering the tone.
This can be a triangle, Sawtooth or a square. Modulate the pulse width, nobody will care

It’s a shame they’ve discontinued the Morph. I wanted to buy one shortly after I’ve updated to Live 11, but it was already sold out. I’ve been waiting patiently ever since, but alas. I must’ve missed it by just a few weeks :(

Seemingly the alternatives aren’t quite there, or are really really expensive, does this still hold?

I saw the email yesterday. This sucks, big time.

I have two of them.
When last year in april they said all their Morphs had been sold, I quickly bought a second one from a third party reseller in case restocking would take too long. And now they're gone

That's going to happen with almost every product eventually, but I didn't expect it to happen so soon.

The product is almost indestructible, as they said, for the lack of moving parts, I don't travel with those and always have them on my desk, connected to USB.
I'm worried about the SenselApp, which is absolutely crucial to the controller configuration.

The Jouè has a similar concept, with the interchangeable rubber overlays. I've never tried it.

Then there's the new Seaboard coming out, but I've preferred the Morph until now because I find it easier to move in the "XYZ space" with it.

Then, currently out of stock (will it ever be back?) there's the K-Board Pro 4, which could potentially the best of them all for those simply interested in the "keyboard layout".

Also have two Morphs and have made insane custom templates over the last couple years. An invaluable piece of tech to me -- however only after months of initial trial and error and a few bucks of misc material testing. One template in particular I consider critical to my workflow now -- it absolutely crushes every 'controller' out there.

Might have to pickup a third now, maybe even a fourth. I don't believe they'll be hard to find after a month or so of the recent announcement. I found the default morph and all their add-on templates almost useless, but the modded one absolutely can't live without. Most people won't go down the rabbit hole to 'forge' their perfect template, so I'll snap another unit up one day.
Have you tried Vital?
