Audiority Polaris is quite good and somehow a unique reverb like in the old days with chained delays.
On the other hand i just took a bite on the intro price for Baby Audios Crystalline. So far no regrets, it's great in flexibility, sound and i like the eye candy of the interface (paid 33$ after discount because BA Support recognizes their Freebies from PB or PA as preexisting investment into their realm!)

while we are already on this controversial topic (lol) can someone recommend me a sound design-y reverb that does really small, metallic spaces? like bathroom-like but more exaggerated

@worldfever: Protoverb is awesome and it‘s free.
You have to rely on randomization (or the presets) for the space parameters though

I can't go past Audio Damage's Eos. It's free, it's got a cool GUI, it's a reverb and usually the default patch is good enough, so it requires f**k-all effort which is my idea of a good reverb (or any other effect).

The best I have found is probably Melda Mturboreverb - amazing sound design power, but also VCV Rack soundstage and the reverb in Rapid synth that you can use as an fx plugin - that can sound like a metal tube or box - not that many parameters but sounds good but automating soundstage for me now especially can get all sorts of scrapes and clangs that I like.worldfever wrote: Tue May 10, 2022 9:37 am while we are already on this controversial topic (lol) can someone recommend me a sound design-y reverb that does really small, metallic spaces? like bathroom-like but more exaggerated

All their old stuff is available for free somewhere on their site, all lumped together, including the original version of Eos. Unless I got it free from somewhere else. There's no way I'd have paid for it, it's just a f**king reverb.AnX wrote: Wed May 11, 2022 6:53 amCan't see a free version V2 is $59BONES wrote: Wed May 11, 2022 6:31 am I can't go past Audio Damage's Eos. That's weird because I just checked my account and I definitely got Eos 2 for free. According to my invoice, it was on the 17th of March this year and included a discount code from somewhere or other. Lucky me!

I still have to hear anything more convincing and realistic than the TC VSS algos. The ERs are a miracle to me.worldfever wrote: Tue May 10, 2022 9:37 am while we are already on this controversial topic (lol) can someone recommend me a sound design-y reverb that does really small, metallic spaces? like bathroom-like but more exaggerated

Never saw it as fully free, yet remember there was a Focusrite 50% off - coupon some time ago. Its a decent Reverb for sure.chk071 wrote: Wed May 11, 2022 1:27 pmMaybe they gave it away at some point. You can be creative in any right place on Earth, and not only in the wealthiest cities. Bring the world feelings from everywhere, and not only feelings of capitalistic or jail environment.
