That's correct, because I only have Analog Lab V and they are not free for me ($14.99 each to be precise).noiseboyuk wrote: Tue May 10, 2022 6:00 pmThose will be the 14 new soundsets included in v9.andrew71 wrote: Tue May 10, 2022 5:46 pm There seem to be a bunch of new preset packs available to download through Analog Lab, which were all free for me.

So, to summarize the prices of V Collection 9 during this intro offers period:
Full version, new: $499
Crossgrade from KeyLab MKII: $399
Upgrade from VC7 or earlier: $299
Upgrade from VC8: $199
Upgrade from VC8 + SQ80 V: $149
Any other offers you guys are seeing in your account? Only interested about V Collection 9, not individual instruments upgrade prices.

You're missing the point here. As confirmed above, the V7 and V6 upgrade prices to V9 are the same. It doesn't "cost what it costs," vendors charge "what the market will bear" for digital goods. The market typically won't bear upgrade prices too close to full price. So vendors have to offer an upgrade, psychologically speaking.jamcat wrote: Tue May 10, 2022 6:02 pm It’s not about “disloyal customers.” It costs what it costs, but you don’t have to pay for the synths you already own, again. V6 and V7 owners don’t own as many of the V9 synths as V8 owners, so they are buying more synths when they upgrade.
IIRC, there have been sales of new versions for less or about the same as the standard upgrade price for those of us disloyal to the path.
At any rate, my point was that as a V6 owner, I'll pay less than a V7 owner for the new synths. This is all that you need to know to know that it doesn't "cost what it costs." It's all that Arturia is able to extract from the market. Moreover, it also confirms that it's better to wait.
Of course, Arturia may change how they do things, but, well, good luck with that.

I have Analog Lab V, Prophet V3 and Jup-8 V4 and my upgrade price to V collection 9 is €399.
Furthermore, i went from 3341 presets to 2840 presets after updating Analog Lab. Losing 501 presets.

To add to this, I have V6 and Pigments. So if anyone can confirm what I suspect is true, that is, if you have V6 and no pigments, the price is still $299?LoveEnigma18 wrote: Tue May 10, 2022 6:11 pmThank you buddy.ralfrobert wrote: Tue May 10, 2022 6:05 pm299 for me, V7, FX2, no Pigments.LoveEnigma18 wrote: Tue May 10, 2022 5:54 pm Does anyone know the upgrade price for V Collection 7 or earlier versions?

So, looks like for anyone having Analog Lab V or KeyLab MKII and no V Collection, the price is $399.Dark Fiber wrote: Tue May 10, 2022 6:17 pm I have Analog Lab V, Prophet V3 and Jup-8 V4 and my upgrade price to V collection 9 is €399.

Regarding presets, I mentioned the same in an earlier post. The only solution I am seeing to this is to enable "Include legacy sounds" option from the Analog Lab V menu.
It says it will add Piano V2 sounds, however, I read this in the manual; screenshot below. I do have Analog Lab 4, and I noticed that after enabling this option the preset count increased by about 1400 and it is adding presets for all applicable synths and not just Piano V. That said, I am still not sure why on upgrading the preset count decreased by 500+ (even before and after installing this legacy option was disabled for comparison). I suspect they moved those missing presets under legacy and not showing them by default unless the option is enabled by the user.

Going by what I have understood so far, I am confident that having Pigments or FX2 has no effect on pricing at this point. I have observed that Arturia has special offers from time to time based on certain products, but right now only Analog Lab 4/V, KeyLab or prior V Collection version seem to be having upgrade/crossgrade pricing options for V Collection 9.ghettosynth wrote: Tue May 10, 2022 6:18 pmTo add to this, I have V6 and Pigments. But it's great to know that V Collection 7 and lower have same pricing. So an awesome deal for anyone with V Collection 6 (or lower) like you I think.

That's what I thought too, but if anyone had any contrary evidence, that would be interesting. In any case, I suspect this will be the standard model going forward. Based on reports, this update seems about as lackluster as I suspected that it would. There are no trigger synths for me here, I'll wait for V10.LoveEnigma18 wrote: Tue May 10, 2022 6:25 pmGoing by what I have understood so far, I am confident that having Pigments or FX2 has no effect on pricing at this point. Yeah, as for pricing/upgrade model, that indeed seems to be the case.

Augmented Voices is quite heavy on CPU consumption in some patches. It quickly goes up to 50% and more. The average for me is around 30%... so the plugin is unsuitable for me.
Nevertheless, I find the idea of the plugin quite interesting.

So, an old site about the CS-80 says this, re: the envelope attack times:
"The VCA and VCF envelopes both have a very fast available attack time of (1ms). However, longest attack time available is only 1 second. The release/decay times on both of these envelopes had a range of 10ms to 10 seconds."
(from: https://www.synthmuseum.com/yamaha/yamcs8001.html)
On the CS-80 V4, the longest possible attack time for the Filter Envelope attack slider is 580 ms -- which is WAY too short, and notably shorter than the actual 1sec (1000 ms) setting on the original. The longest possible attack time on the Amp envelope attack slider on CS-80 V4 is 885 ms. More than the Filter attack, but not by much, and still not accurate per the spec of an actual CS-80...
What is Arturia thinking here? They release a brand new update to their CS-80, notably change the envelope timing, but still don't bother to get it right? 580 ms for maximum attack time on a filter envelope is way, way, way too fast.
