Robbie and Vince Clarke are THE only two recording artists that I've seen visit KVR so far.

I'm not going to go back and read through all these pages but I only see this guy with 2 posts. Sort of convenient that he pops up all the sudden. So how do we know that it's him? I guess you happen to be friends with him? Very nice indeed! So, all I gotta do is register as Dr Dre and post and you will believe it's him?

Anyway, who cares?
In order to make it in any kind of industry, it not always about what you know....but who you know.

With that said, I wish I had well-known recording artists as friends. Their knowledge about the music industry can help me gain more wisdom. 8)

Education is the key! Remember that.

BTW, do you doubt the possible that your favorite artists can stop by in KVR for any reasons? 8)

No I don't doubt it. I just really doubt it in this case. As it seems to be a hoax you cooked up.

And beside, if you're Dr. Dre, then I'm 2pac. And I need to get into a media war with Jay-Z and reclaim my hip-hop throne.

The Cheeky Girls, of course, blow that theory out of the water :hihi:
After seeing them mentioned in this thread, I found the Cheeky Girls website and watched their music videos online. Is this the current state of UK pop music culture? :-o

I'm not claiming that the USA is much better, mind you. In fact, I have no idea what songs are currently in the top 40. The last time I listened to the local radio station that played top 40 material, was probably when I was tuning across the dial to something else. :)

take care,

Ahhh....the power of cheese!!! :D

Now seriously, these Cheeky Girls came from the same location as the VegaBoys.

It's stupid cheesey sex pop songs about the same damn things from their area.

f**k that. You know and I know, McL, that almost any pop music (including[/url] USA and Canada!) from a location other than the UK has GOT to be better than the godawful dreck that comes from o'er there. I can't speak to underground music, but just in terms of pop/rock music, the UK is a festering cesspool of utter shite. People complain about "Americanization", but I've never heard of more cheap thrills offered on TV, in newspapers, and on the radio than in the UK. Reality shows are big here, but they RULE the UK airwaves. Along with house redecorating shows.

It's no surprise that RW is so big over there but only has the occasional hit here.

:D :D

The above was written before I even looked at the Cheeky Girls thing... morbid curiousity (and wanting to see fit girls) made me look. It's... horrifying. European music is... er... mind-blowingly bad.

No, because you're talking bollocks.

Isn't it amazing, though, that in threads like this, you always show up and talk complete shite?
Case in points:

Unless I ever called you name out "whyterabbyt", THIS STATEMENT didn't apply to your dumb ass!!!

Think before you call someone out about anything next time. :uhuhuh:

psst Tony...

nip back to page 5 and edit that post. The one he's referring to here. The one where you did call him a bitch and an asskisser. He's not up yet and if you're quick you can get away with lying like a toddler. We'll never tell. Honest.

Behold, European Radio:

http://www.bbc.co.uk/radio1/

OK, it's just the UK. But 70% is American Music (especially hip-hop).

Just 16 years earlier (1989), it was 50% American Music & 50% British Music (Stock Atkins Waterman related songs would account for half of british music at that time). 8)

Wow Tony, you permanently try to beat yourself, and this time you tried even harder.
Either you're the master of hidden sarcasm (which, in your case, nobody seems to be able to detect) or you are in fact a pretty good nominee for K-v-R's "moron of the year" awards (with spaceman certainly coming in second).
There are 3 kinds of people:
Those who can do maths and those who can't.

You're more than 12 hours late for that nuffink. He said exactly what he wanted to say. And I said exactly what I wanted to say.

whyterabbyt (like a few other people) need to learn how to mind their own business and leave me the hell alone. :|

And another thing:

I'm so sick of people trying to tell me what I can & can't say (especially if I wasn't talking to them to begin with).

I have every right like everyone in KVR to express myself & say EXACTLY what's on my mind in the context of each thread.

And if whyterabbyt, Robert Randolph, Eric Bourne, or anyone else doesn't like it.....tough!!!!

End of Story.
