Is there a vst I can use to make a "strum" effect when I play chords?

Not for guitar, for keys--But i'm looking for a way to have the chord play out rapidly that doesn't involve painstakingly editing midi one note at a time. Is there an easy solution for this?

If you are using Cubase, then Tutorialism on Youtube has a video showing how to do this using the Arpache vst (comes with Cubase): https://youtu.be/Kx5yOloVvBM?t=280

https://patches.zone/strum If you are using Ableton then this is good.
https://www.pluginboutique.com/product/ ... 9-Scaler-2 Has a strum function (for chords within the VST) amongst lots of other things.
And Instachord too - you assign one octave for different strum speeds/patterns and have your chord progression set up on another octave.

Hope these help.

There are many plugins that do exactly that. You input chords in the piano roll like you normally do and they play a strumming guitar as naturally as possible for you. You can start with the free Ample Guitar M Lite by Ample Sound.
Don't bother with arpeggios and midi effects. They aren't even close to emulating that strumming sound. An arp is an arp...

If you're FL there's a script in the piano roll called Strum. It works pretty well.

If you're using Logic, it has an amazing arpeggiator MIDI plugin that also features a strum pattern.

Bitwig has a strum device... Fully configurable.
Surely your DAW can do it.
