A couple of months ago, I saw a newsitem somewhere about a plugin that could tune a kick by boosting the particular harmonics for the chosen note it needed to pitch to. So instead of pitchshifting the kick, it emphases the harmonics of the chosen note, leaving the attack intact.
Seems ideal for retuning recorded acoustic kick(-like) sounds.

Unfortunately I didn't bookmark that newsitem and can't find that plugin anymore. Anyone knows what plugin I'm referring to?

It’s called an EQ.

:hihi: this plug-in had some nice features not available in EQ plug-ins that I own.

Finally found it. It's called Knocktonal.

if you want something that is a bit more versatile but I think also does exactly what Knocktonal does then https://www.apulsoft.ch/apqualizr2/

Thanks, that looks a bit too complicated for what I want. I like the simple and clear interface from Knocktonal.

Thanks, that looks interesting. Not a fan of Waves licensing policy though.

Me to :) But they have few plugins that are really handy and are hard to find somewhere else.

It is an incredibly easy EQ to use but if this function is something you will use a lot then a dedicated unit is not a bad idea

Yeah, they have some nice plug-ins. It’s tempting 😉

I will look into it to see if it can do harmonic EQ-ing based on a note value plus if it can be linked to MIDI input.
