Best sounding effect you never use, and why?

Ok so just curious on this. I have a few effects plugins that are amazing, but I tend to never use them for one reason or another. I’ll give an example:
Adaptiverb
The thing sounds outstanding. But despite that, I never use it because the latency is difficult to deal with and the controls are very unconventional and I keep wanting to think in terms of a “normal” reverb. So I end up getting daunted by it and while I can get great sounds, it never ends up very practical for the way I work.
What about you? Got a plug-in you love but just don’t use?

Arturia. Every time I tried to use them, they took an enormous amount of time to load.
This is the same method MJ used when he was working on Anthony Marinelli's Thriller.

Soothe2 because it just takes away a tiny, subtle little bit of resonances, which actually should stay in that otherworldly, dystopian spaced out Drone.

This:
It's a circuit bent delay box, one-of-a-kind made by an electronics home enthusiast, out of a circuit-bent PCB board which is no longer available.
It stopped working a few months ago.
Neither my local audio repair specialist nor the original creator (whom I'm in touch with can get it working again - not without me shelling out effectively for a completely new version (approx £200).
The company that made the PCB board (for a karaoke home machine) no longer makes anything similar.
The original creator now designs other sound-mangling boxes out of PCB boards which are much easier to replace / find.
So Mutation Machine now lies dead, sad and unusable
Still, it was a hell of a time-space-vortex messing up box in its day.
Listen to its anguished wails and demented noises from beyond the final frontier only on video...

For a while, I was hooked (hooked, I tell you) on FabFilter's stuff when I was producing pop and country tracks. Now that my music is all instrumental ambient ditties, I rely more on Valhalla plugins than anything else.
If you can't dazzle 'em with brilliance, baffle 'em with bullshit.

in principle it's alright, even though it's still bloatware to me, especially if many developers do their own thing.
nowadays this should be handled with the app store of the OS natively and not a crap ton of individual downloaders
i'm actually quite happy that none of the plugs i really need don't require such intrusive ways to your system
but i of course get it when people find this convenient. it's just not for me

Tbf, I got about 4 years' use out of it before it growled its last angry snarl at me
But to be equally fair, 4 years' use for a £200 machine is a bit shit.
The fella makes better versions now with more usual / common pcb boards, but:
a) I picked up a smaller circuit bent delay pedal for £60 a few months ago to replace the Mutation Machine, and
b) once bitten, twice shy at spending £200+ on a circuit bent pedal (which by the nature of being circuit bent has had various parts twisted / knackered up on purpose).
Still, MM f**ked with the meaning of time and space for a few glorious years, and that's all you could ever want in a memorable pedal
