There are several example patches in the repository: https://github.com/DISTRHO/Cardinal/tree/main/patches
Most of the ones I've included need you to tweak the host parameters or turn the host transport on before they really do something :)

Thank you so much DRMR! I recently started learning modular synthesis and it was hard for me to figure out how to make just a polyphonic input (I didn't achieved hehe EDIT: Found it! Right click on the Host MIDI module to see the options!). But I've playing with it a lot, and this is probably the best and the coolest synth I ever tried.
Thank you very much to each contributor for all the incredible work. The quality is astonishing.

I've been playing a lot and having lot of fun! I have some questions:
1 - Is this an appropiate place to ask doubts? (Im serious, not sure if I'm going off topic or something. Not sure if there is a propper site to ask or something!)

2 - Im trying to use modwheel and pitchbend controls to modify some parameters, but it doesnt work:

Can someone please pointing me out what I'm missing? Others, like velocity seems to work as expected. But not sure if with mod wheel I should do something else (by the way, the work fine on my DAW (Reaper)).
EDIT: I tried the MIDI CC map module and dont seem to recognize knobs and wheels. So Im not sure if Cardinal is receiving them. Maybe I'm missing something

3 - Is submiting presets to the github page welcome?

Thank you so much!

The main Cardinal support happens on the Github page and on IRC.

If you would've looked in the GH issues you would've seen https://github.com/DISTRHO/Cardinal/issues/193

For me this works fine, except on VST3 which is (as we have to keep repeating somehow, because nobody reads) still in BETA.

anyone else find it blurry on 4k screen?

Hello!

Is it possible to assign various parameters of modules for automation inside the DAW?
For example, can you automate the Frequency knob of Audible Instruments Macro Oscillator 2 with automation lane inside ableton live? Here it doesn't seem to recognize any knob movements to be able to map them to automatable parameter and don't show up in automation lanes.

It would be great if automation of knobs is possible

Post

No. You can only assign to the `Cardinal Host Params` which are actually exposed.

There are some ideas to make a cv-mapping module, like the midi-modules in VCV Rack, that can take CV and map to any module parameter. Then you could take the `Host Params` signals and map them, but this module does not exist yet.

Great!

This project has nice philosophy. I'll definately DL :)

I'm having fun with Cardinal, or maybe I should say, it's having fun with me! I'll be okay, though. A few more months with this thing - and its 500+ modules - should set me on the right track.
If you can't dazzle 'em with brilliance, baffle 'em with bullshit.

Hm, I might get this. I would like to mess with VCV, but I know it would not be very often. Not often enough to buy the full deal.

Cool find this!

I'm impressed with Cardinal. I'm a beginner with modular. A user group on FB and youtube channel would be great. The more advanced could really help those of us struggling to grasp the many parameters of modular synthesis. Great work!! I just updated. - Rob
