I am a yooge, bigly fan of physical modelling in general, and there’s a whole heckton of great plugins that use that method of sound creation. Happy about that. :hyper:

One instrument that still seems lacking on that front is the good ol’ drumkit. Acoustic, physical, the real thing.

I only know of MODO, and that’s “hybrid”.. anything else out there? Something as good as Pianoteq would be nice.. :help:

edit: I’m using SD3 atm, and it’s good, but.. aaall the gigabytes, ever..

i would recommand chromaphone 3 ...that has also numerous presets of rather convincing drums and percussions elements BTW ?

but of course, no complete drum sets like Modo Drum for instance, not being a drum emulation in itself, ...more versatile

(and Kong, yes! or Arturia Sprak 2, there are others, but more specialised, perhaps..)

Synapse's EKS (Electronic Kickdrum Synthesizer) is also very good at its specific niche :) just like Audiothing's Hats :ud:

also my 'sentiment', but i could.. not.. resist.. strange... it isn't mentioned anywhere that Chromaphone 3 is on sale, it depends of course of your currency, and rates etc. about 70 euro's for me...

well also for me, but strangely, or not there comes with extra costs, always... cost of the transaction.. o well, for few euro's more...

did doubt about it; having Kaivo, Plasmonic and MSoundFactory among others (also Derailer and.. wel..).

but Chromaphone was/is meant more for drum synthesis, for me, will not use presets. and will of course make other stuff with.

while using the demo i discovered the great possibilities...
