Hi!
I downloaded some midi file from here: (safe link)

(click the Disk icon to the right, then click main mirror to download)

its a small midi pack for a PC game. The midi files play in Windows, but they cannot be imported in neither cubase nor reason. Never had that happen before, anyone feel like trying on their machine?
Or know of any midi repair/converter tools?

The files appear to be in RIFF format rather than Standard Midi File (SMF) format. Adds prefix (at least - not extensive exam). Can see it in the header. Converter - dunno - this is hex editor, could do it...

Chopped that prefix, and it does play (instrument pack is GM then, not the game specific - site had some info for that...)

Thank you kind sir! Could you please tell me how to do it? Just remove the header in a hex editor? ill try it.
