Indeed they did make the crazy 8. The blast beats is more groove box i guess. 6 Drums, 4 synth tracks or something. Its a chip tunes synth, literally. Anyway, yea ill likely order one in the next few days. Pretty sure, was looking at the Erica Synths LXR as well, butvurt wrote: Fri May 20, 2022 11:54 pmim not normally interested in drum machines, butpekbro wrote: Fri May 20, 2022 10:18 pm Think im gonna buy one of these : Twisted Electrons BlastBeats

I love grooveboxes. I couldn’t get into LXR. I still wouldn’t mind having one, but I don’t want to pay for it.pekbro wrote: Sat May 21, 2022 1:05 amIndeed they did make the crazy 8. This one is very cool. It’s a bit too close to Syntakt but otherwise I do like this. Though if I’m getting another drum machine, I’d like to get a Pulsar 23. I don’t think. That’s realistic for me this year, but you never know.

Yeah, I wouldn't mind the LXR either, while I have quite a few drum samplers, I don't really haveelxsound wrote: Sat May 21, 2022 2:47 amI love grooveboxes. I couldn’t get into LXR. a straight up drum synth. The pulsar would work for me too, but I can't really see myself paying that kind of scratch for a drum synth tbh, no matter how cool it is. As for the LXR, there are a
couple things I don't really like about it. Conversely, there's not much about the Blast Beats that doesn't appeal to me.

Well, can't say I'm overly fond of their naming convention. I just like the sound of it, and could care less about the cheesy name of it.ReleaseCandidate wrote: Sat May 21, 2022 7:02 amDoesn't sound like blast beats to me at all!pekbro wrote: Fri May 20, 2022 10:18 pm Think im gonna buy one of these : Twisted Electrons BlastBeats

Just watched the tutorial and they’ve really managed to capture the important things of a groove box without menu dives. You can safely come back to this in 6 months and just play.pekbro wrote: Sat May 21, 2022 5:14 amYeah, I wouldn't mind the LXR either, while I have quite a few drum samplers, I don't really haveelxsound wrote: Sat May 21, 2022 2:47 amI love grooveboxes. I don’t know what blast beats are but I like how it sounds. Since I’m not buying I need to see how I close I can get with Syntakt.

blast beats to me comes from death metal, short fast and heavy drum riffs, kick on 32nds brrrrrrrrrrrrd!

I was thinking it might be like chiptunes because of the video on their page. Supposedly that video was blast beats, but I didn’t like it and just a good guess that it wasn’t a good demo.vurt wrote: Sat May 21, 2022 3:11 pm blast beats to me comes from death metal, short fast and heavy drum riffs, kick on 32nds brrrrrrrrrrrrd!![]()

now that's drumming!!!
ive liked the different things ive heard of the twisted electrons blast beats, even if it's not my thing, the ones ive seen (only a few) have given a decent overview of what's possible.
definitely worth thinking about once the mobility business is sorted, that comes first sadly
