This might be helpful, the install via IK Product Manager shouldn't be too painful and this video walks through a successful Syntronik 2 synth install:
Note that the IK Product Manager manual installed with the program explains how to set your download location and how to install sound libraries to a specific folder.

When considering a single plugin/standalone to create musically useful sounds and arrangements, Syntronik's quad-multi-timbrality, the diversity of instruments, the arrangable effects, new editing tools, and being able to mix & match core componants from all those synths, it certainly has to rank very near the top.
Of course, few people will stick to a single instance of any plugin,
but at $50 or less, it's a great value.

And let's not forget how easy it is to use. I'm the first person who loves fully emulated synths, but often I just want a great sound that I can tweak a little and S2 excels in that part. Adding more waveforms to a preset, changes the sound in a noticeable but never "broken" way if you know what I mean. I honestly love it more than I thought.glokraw wrote: Mon May 23, 2022 1:54 am When considering a single plugin/standalone to create musically useful sounds and arrangements, Syntronik's quad-multi-timbrality, the diversity of instruments, the arrangable effects, new editing tools, and being able to mix & match core componants from all those synths, it certainly has to rank very near the top.

Yes that's about right, it's not equally split among the synths though. The GS-V alone is about 30GB of that

I was listening to audio demos of DCO-X. Sounds beautiful to me. Check out the demo "Syntronik DCO-X - Choral Wind" in particular. Lovely chords too!

Meanwhile...

Sign-ups need to pick up quite a lot to get all 32 bonuses (and the Multis?).

We've just hit 25 free, so 26 for the price of 1 with 95 participants to the next freebie and 8 days left.
We're only missing 7 instruments now and I think we might get two more in the next 8 days so that would only leave us missing 5. Perhaps there will be a run as the deadline approaches.
I assume you mean if it hits 2900 the group buy will be extended? We're at 2305 now so I don't think that's going to happen.Peter - IK Multimedia wrote: Fri May 20, 2022 11:15 pm And yes, it is slowing down so please share and let's pick up the pace as this isn't likely going to be extended unless it hits the top tier.

My guess is there will be enough of a run at the end that they'll extend it and then it will make it to 3000. But, maybe I am being optimistic. (But, Teksonik, thanks for the input on the synths to consider passing on (if necessary), just in case I am wrong
).

Wondering about the Syntronik String Box synth.
I already have the Toontrack String Machine EZkeys expansion. Is this some of the same sort of thing?

Also, where do you get the Multis presets? I only have a few in my presets.

I think it was said if the group buy reaches Max they'll add the multis.
That makes sense because a multi won't work properly unless you have all the instruments it uses installed.
At any rate as of now there are no separate downloads for the multis. Everything is (or should be) contained in the sound installation files or installed by the Product Manager.

3,000 participants is the top tier: https://www.ikmultimedia.com/syntronik2gbTeksonik wrote: Mon May 23, 2022 1:52 pm We've just hit 25 free, so 26 for the price of 1 with 95 participants to the next freebie and 8 days left.

That's the incentive now, plus the multis will be unlocked at that top tier.Buy 1 Get 32 Free* when 3,000 registrations are reached

But if it reaches 3,000 it won't need to be extended. Well let me rephrase that....there will be no additional benefit to the participants if it goes over 3,000.

I've just decided to get in too. I had some points left that brought it to impulse buy territory...
Some things I wonder if are bugs or not....
Quite a few of the presets that I've tested so far seem to be clipping, even up to a few db, when left at default fader values.
The other is more of a nitpick but I'm wondering if the scalable UI has a bug since compared to my other VST's it's quite difficult to read the buttons no matter what size I scale it... (FB-7999 compared with the KW-8000)

Aside from that I'm having a lot of fun with this so far.

Yes that's been brought up before. Some are red hot and I normally like my presets hot but not so hot they melt the speakers. Just another one of the "how did that make it past beta testing?" issues you tend to find in IK instruments.ChristopherWD wrote: Mon May 23, 2022 3:51 pm Quite a few of the presets that I've tested so far seem to be clipping, even up to a few db, when left at default fader values.
The fuzzy GUIs especially in contrast to Synthronik 1 have been brought up in the past as well and of course ignored by IK (this also affects their MixBox plugin). Why version 2 is of lower quality than version 1 is a mystery and yet another of those issues that makes you wonder how it got past the very first beta.ChristopherWD wrote: Mon May 23, 2022 3:51 pmThe other is more of a nitpick but I'm wondering if the scalable UI has a bug since compared to my other VST's it's quite difficult to read the buttons no matter what size I scale it... Anyone who has used IK instruments over the years has become accustomed to such baffling issues and if we look past the quirks the group buy is still a great deal.
As you say it's still a lot of fun and capable of some great sounds you just have to accept the quirks.....
