WOOO HOOO!!! I'm just waiting for #32 to show up to get my final selection String Box. My first picks were the Bob's and Obie's. Question for the Group: Are Syntronik 2, MODO xxx, Amplitube, etc. all part of Sample Tank 4 MAX? I apologize if this is not the right thread or forum to ask..if so, LMK and I'll ask where it's more appropriate. I also have some questions regarding the last 10 years of progress of software when I was last active..ie: moitors I own (Alesis SO MKII) vs new offerings (JBL 3 MKII series, Yamaha, etc), On my budget, I can only compare my Delta's to Scarlett's and I heard no difference worth spending money for. Last, I used to have a bookmark for Tweek's(?) site which was pretty informative and vast, but old, but can't find it now. He used to have lots of KVR references. Thanks in advance for facts and opinions.

But you might have a look at Total Studio MAX - I can't remember what's in that bundle.

It happened once before when a level was reached. The new freebie wasn't added to our promo page for an hour or so.

We'll just have to give it some time to see if it eventually shows up.

But I've only got 31 in my promos instead of 32 (plus the one purchased to make 33). So I'm short one.

Me too, seems there's still something wrong with the Promotions page.

I am sure that that will get sorted out soon.

Meanwhile, just explore the 31 bonus synths and your purchased synth. That will keep you busy for days.

I knew that. I though it might be different if the goal was reached because there would be no need to select which products you want.

That's just the way IK Group Buys have always worked. The goal is almost always reached. They require you to select the promotional products, and that event registers the license to your account.

No.

But you might have a look at Total Studio MAX - I can't remember what's in that bundle.

It contains SampleTank 4 MAX, and AmpliTube 5 MAX, but not the current versions of MODO Drum and MODO Bass. Those items released after TS 3.5 MAX, would be included in the next version of TS MAX. TS 4 MAX maybe?

Thanks DarkStar. I looked at the comparison chart for the Sample Tank 4, as they have the $39 promo for ST4 SE for 30 more gigs of samples and on the MAX the samples' names looked similar to ones for Syntronik 2, MODO Drum, & MODO Bass samples. I'm pretty happy with this group buy content for now but wouldn't mind some high resolution GM (0-127) samples. I'm probably wanting more of what Miroslav Philharmonik 2 CE has to offer. I just didn't want to buy a lot of what I already have....30GB and 2,000 samples for ST4 SE is a lot vs 10GB of 733 instruments in MP2 CE. I need to read more about them and demo MP2.
I have "Welsh's Syntesizer Cookbook" ~2006 paper, (would like it digital if anyone knows who sells it); I'm a techie and get circuitry, envelopes, etc...It might be that I don't know the right questions to ask at this point but recipes is all I can think of as a next step. FWIW, I have used Rebirth & FL minimally in the past.
Another question: Are there "recipe" resources for synth newbies like me? I would want to know how to dial in a Styx, Foreigner, Rush etc. song's synth sound.

I reported the issue with getting that last synth + multis to the team, if I were a betting man I'd bet whatever was happening with the Promotions page this morning is happening again just in a more "friendly" way (without out and out connection errors etc). Not sure which is worse, but either way it will get sorted. Thank you for your patience and especially for this frankly unexpected quick surge. Well done, respect.

Can you confirme:
-That the LPF "O-type filter" resonance don't work on any syntronik 1 preset loaded in Syntronik 2
-And that the BPF "O-type filter" cut off, resonance and filter AHDSR envelope don't work on any syntronik 1 preset loaded in Syntronik 2
Try any of the syntronik 1 preset for this.

Ok I can confirm that with at lease one Syntronik 1 preset in Syntronik 2.

I used the simple OXa preset "SAW OXa" and in S2 the LPF "O-type filter" resonance doesn't work but in S1 with the same preset it does work.

I can also confirm that BPF "O-type filter" cut off, resonance and filter AHDSR envelope don't work. You can turn all the knobs in the Filter Envelope to zero including the amount and it makes no difference. Again they work fine in S1....

Yes, i found more bugs

1- When you set the LPF "O-type" filter resonance to 0 in Syntronik 1 and syntronik 2 for the same preset you can hear a difference again, there is a mess with the filter velocity sensibility, filter amount and filter envelope:

If you set the cut-off to 590Hz and the filter velocity sensibility to 1 on Syntronik 1 and Syntronik 2, for approach to the Syntronik 1 sound you must shift the filter velocity sensibility at -1,3 on Syntronik 2 but it is still not perfect because may be the envelope filter amount or the AHDSR filter envelope itself(if you play with the attack or an another filter envelope parameter you can hear that the timings are not the same)

By the way there is already diference between the "Fat Resonant Bass" filter preset parameters:

On syntronik 1 cut-off = 6khz, drive = 5 and vel = 1 but on syntronik 2 cut-off = 5.99khz, drive = 4 and vel = 0.96

And i have also the felling that the "round robin" are not the same between Syntronik 1 and Syntronik 2 when you are in this LPF "O-type" filter!


2- On syntronik 2 presets the 6dB LPF "C-type" filter resonance don't work
On syntronik 2 presets the 6dB HPF "C-type" filter resonance don't work

There is not any 6dB LPF "C-type" filter and any HPF "C-type" filter in syntronik 1 this is part of the new functionality of Syntronik 2!


3- "the inability to switch between filter slopes in the C-type and R-type filters" in the synth panel with syntronik 1 and syntronik 2 presets

=> it's a display bug only, when you try to slide the slope faders it move just a little but dont go the correct position but you can hear a little change.

This display bug occur too with Syntronik 2 presets:

Try the SH-V "Castel Analog Bass" and try to change the slope of the 'R-types"... you see the same thing but if you go to the new panel edit and visualize the filter you can see that the slope has changed and you can change the slope directly here too.


4- for the Syntronik 1 multis loaded in Syntronik 2, it's a reel mess

When Syntronik 2 load a Syntronik 1 multi, it change the filters to "no filter", sometime it change the "OSC2" ON by OFF, sometime it change the "BPM Sync" ON to OFF
it's better to laugh than to cry

If you verify the parts A, B, C and D you can see an asterisk before the name of the preset, which means that it has been modified!

It's also for this reason that the multis(without arp) sound not the same between syntronik 1 and syntronik 2.
Yes the arp parameters of syntronik 1 multis are not loaded correctly too but you alredy know this


I have found another bug than i have not already submitted to IKM support:

In Microwave synth with "Piano wave" and "Woody piano" presets
=> between the g5-a6 range keys have no decay no sustain or release
=> when you visualize the amp envelope in edit panel the key dont follow the amp envelope
=> when you visualize zone lfo 1 in edit panel when you press the key the lfo stop instantly even if you dont relache the key
=> but you have normal keys in a#6, b6 and c6

Anyone else missing some files from the Syner-V synth?
I get this error when I try to load some presets from that synth.

Instrument ST4 Error. Cannot locate Tank at path
'....SampleTank 4/Samples/Syntronik Syner-V/Syner-V FM Synth Hard/Syner-V FM Synth Hard.pak'.

That particular folder "Syner-V FM Synth Hard" which should contain the missing file does not even exist and the same thing is happening with some other presets showing that other folders are missing too.
I re-installed Syner-V a couple of times with no success.

I previously owned the Syntronik 2 CS bundle and I was wondering if it is advantageous to re-download the 11 older instruments I already have (or if that just being silly....)?
